Aiden looked at Anya who was standing in front of him. The expression on the woman's face changed rapidly. For a second she thought hard and looked hopeful, the next second her expression became sad and her eyes filled with tears again. He could guess what his wife was thinking.

When he went to seek treatment abroad, doctors said that his eyes were slowly recovering. As long as he was careful about using it and didn't overwork it, his eyesight would not have any problems. He had to rest a lot...

Besides, he also saw Keara when he was overseas.

Keara was still alive, but she didn't come home for three years. What was she really doing? This made Aiden feel curious.

However, he paid no heed to Keara. He was only worried about Nadine.

After his brother died, he only had Nico and Nadine, a family he could trust. As their uncle, Aiden had the responsibility and duty to look after his nephew and niece.

When he saw Keara, he didn't tell anyone, including the Pratama family. He set someone to follow her secretly, only to find Nadine's whereabouts.

In his heart, he hoped Keara would not come back. Even though Keara returned, he and Keara did not have any relationship. Keara would return to her position, as Ivan's fiancé.

If that happened, Aiden would find it even more difficult to get rid of Imel and Ivan because they would have the Pratama Family's support behind them.

He didn't want things to get more complicated.

Imel would continue to look for ways to bring him down and clear Ivan's path.

When he was not in Indonesia, Imel suddenly attacked Anya, accusing her of being a thief and involving Diana's past.

He purposely didn't take Anya and introduced her to the Atmajaya family as his wife because he didn't want anything to happen to her. Anya was too innocent and weak. She wouldn't endure being part of the Atmajaya Family.

Aiden wanted Anya to grow better as a person. He wanted Anya to learn to protect herself and stand up confidently. If she could do it, he would bring her before the entire Atmajaya Family.

Anya held Aiden's hand tightly, ”I'll help you into the room.” She said quietly. The truth was she had not partnered with Aiden to help her, but to seek warmth and comfort from him.

After returning to the room, Aiden immediately grabbed Anya into his arms and closed the door. The woman didn't react, she just accepted the limp hug. Her watery eyes stared at Aiden anxiously.

Aiden smiled faintly as he wiped the tears that would run down Anya's cheeks, ”Eavesdropping is not a good deed, Mrs. Atmajaya.”

”Ah! I'm not eavesdropping.” Anya shifted her gaze shyly, not noticing that her ears were turning red when she lied.

”Is it true? Don't you want to know why you look like Keara?” Aiden looked at her face gently. His big body enveloped Anya's tiny body. His hand grabbed Anya's chin, forcing her to stare at him.

Anya blinked twice, stunned by Aiden's question. Then she replied, ”Didn't you find her out?”

”You said you didn't eavesdrop.” Aiden said, stroking her hair, ”How far did you hear?”

Anya swallowed hard, not daring to keep it a secret from Aiden. She admitted that she heard the conversation between Aiden and Harris, ”Since you said that Indah Pratama is not Keara's biological mother.”

”Your mother had a relationship with Galih Pratama in the past. But they couldn't be together because Galih was forced to marry into the Srijaya Family and he was forced to betray your mother. After Keara was born, her birth mother died. Galih wanted to continue the relationship with your mother, but your mother refused.” Aiden explained.

Finally, Anya understood why Diana didn't allow her to contact Galih Pratama. In the past, her mother had rejected Galih and did not want her to repeat the same story.

”Your mother came back from abroad as a prominent parfumeur. At that time, the Tedjasukmana Family was still victorious. She decided to marry Deny and give birth to you. You have nothing to do with the Pratama Family whatsoever. Even if your father treats you badly, it turns out that he is indeed your real father.”Aiden told Anya everything he was investigating.

”Hmm... I'm glad I don't have a relationship with the Pratama Family.” Anya said. No matter how bad Deny treated her, she still considered him as her father.

Aiden looked closely at Anya's face, ”Why don't you ask about Keara?”
