Chapter 121 - Overheating (1/2)

”Anything?” Asked Anya while looking at Aiden. She was afraid to ask for this, but she really needed it.

”Anything!” Aiden calmly replied, contrasting his true feelings.

”Can you cooperate with my father? He owns land but does not have the capital to develop it.” Said Anya.

Aiden felt grateful that Anya did not ask for a divorce from him, but that didn't mean he liked the request made by Anya. His wife asked something for her father's sake, ”Did Deny tell you to ask me?” He said coldly.

Anya could feel Aiden's annoyance, ”Ah, if you can't fulfill it, I can change my request.” Anya said quietly. Her voice trembled slightly as she said it.

Aiden had no intention of scaring Anya. He took a deep breath and said, ”No need.”

”He's still my father.” Anya's voice dropped lower and lower. After that, she said nothing.

She couldn't tell Aiden that she didn't do all this for Deny. All of this was for her mother's perfume recipe which was in Deny's hands. She must be able to get the perfume recipe, somehow.

”Okay. I've promised you and so I will not break my promise. I'll give your father a chance.” Said Aiden with a little reluctance. However, a promise was a promise. He would not break his promise, especially to Anya, ”Can you get me an eye mask? I also want to know the massage techniques you learned from Doctor Tara.” Aiden changed the subject because he didn't want to talk about Deny anymore.

”Wait a minute.” Anya nodded and immediately took the eye mask. She warmed the eye mask while making Aiden a cup of osmanthus tea. After that, she brought the teacup back to the room.

When she entered the room and put down the teacup she was carrying, she could not find Aiden's figure inside. Then, she heard the sound of the bathroom door opening.

Anya turned around and saw Aiden wrapped only in a bath towel around his waist. Puffs of steam were still visible from around his body. The large towel around his waist couldn't cover Aiden's great body. Luckily, Anya had put the cup she brought on the table. If not, she probably would knock it out of awe when she looked at Aiden.

”Come here!” Said Aiden in his low voice.

Anya's eyes were still glued to Aiden's muscles, as if they had magnets, making her unable to avert her eyes. Aiden's body was so perfectly built that it could make all women get nosebleeds!

As soon as the thought crossed her mind, Anya felt her nose itch and immediately rubbed it with her hand.

When she looked at her hands and found bloodstains, she realized that she really had a nosebleed!

Gosh, this was so embarrassing! Perhaps she was the first woman in history to have a nosebleed when she saw her husband's body!

Anya immediately covered her nose and ran towards the bathroom. When she passed Aiden, the man immediately took her hand, ”What's wrong?” He asked. Aiden already knew what happened but he tried to hide his smile and asked Anya on purpose. He deliberately wanted to tease his wife who was like this little rabbit.

”Eh? No, nothing? I want to go to the bathroom.” Said Anya as she let go of Aiden and rushed into the bathroom.

Aiden chuckled seeing Anya's behavior. His wife was really adorable.

Anya immediately washed her face with cold water. Then, she patted her forehead and neck with cold water, trying to calm herself down. It took awhile for the nosebleeds to stop.

When Anya came out of the bathroom, her clothes were half wet because of the splash of water.

”I smell blood. Are you hurt?” Aiden suddenly asked. It seemed he didn't want to miss the opportunity to continue teasing Anya.

Anya looked at Aiden while muttering softly. How could Aiden's smell be so extraordinary? It looked like he had the same smell as that of a wolf!

”No. My nose is bleeding. Maybe I'm just hot.” Anya chuckled, trying to cover her embarrassment.

She walked to the closet and took out a shirt. Anya wanted to change her wet clothes, but suddenly her body was covered by a large black shadow.

”Do you want me to help you not to overheat again?” Aiden blinked at her with an ambiguous gaze.

”No, no!” Said Anya while shaking her hand.
