Chapter 109 - Dropping The Charges (1/2)
”Everything is over. I don't need you anymore like I did three years ago. If you really feel guilty towards me, give back what rightfully belongs to my mother.”
What Anya really wanted right now was her mother's perfume formula. If only the formula wasn't in Deny's hands, she wouldn't want to deal with her father anymore.
”I'll give it to you, but not now.” Deny said.
Anya got the point, ”I will consider what you want, but I need time. There is no point in pressuring me.”After saying that, Anya ignored Deny and walked towards the employee's changing room.
The visitors who witnessed the incident started walking again, continuing whatever they were working on. Deny also decided to leave after finding out that Anya would think of his request. The atmosphere in front of Rose Scent calmed down again…
At this time, not many visitors came because it was dinner time. When Anya came out of the locker room, several employees were seen gathering and whispering to each other. They would occasionally glance at Anya.
Anya knew they must be talking about her, but she didn't care and immediately took up her task.
She cleaned the storefronts and added coffee beans to the aroma area. After that, she returned to the specialty perfume area and assembled the necessary equipment.
”Anya, are you okay?” Ben asked her, the man looked worried.
Anya smiled slightly at her manager, ”I am fine.”
”Earlier, Mrs. Esther called. She said she supported you.” Said Ben, smiling back.
Anya looked at Ben in surprise, ”You don't blame me for all the commotion that happened?”
”You didn't do anything wrong. Why should we blame you?” He replied. His attitude changed slightly after learning that Anya was Deny's daughter.
Even so, Anya still felt touched.
Ben patted Anya's shoulder with a smile, ”Get back to work. Mrs. Esther treats all her employees very well, take it easy!”
”Thank you!” Anya nodded excitedly.
She passed the overtime day very smoothly. No more commotion happened. Several customers came and went, alternating until the clock struck nine o'clock in the evening.
No one knew how Raka figured out Anya's working time, but right at nine o'clock, he returned to the Rose Scent.
”Anya, do you have time to talk to me?” Raka asked her.
”If you want to talk about Raisa, there's nothing I can say. You are not her. This is none of your business.” Anya turned towards the employee changing room.
Raka ignored everyone in the shop and followed Anya into the employee changing room.
”What are you doing? Come out quickly!” Anya shouted. She could not be in the same room alone with Raka.
The man ignored Anya's words and instead closed the door behind him. He continued to walk forward, cornering Anya so that her back was against the wall.
”Anya, is there nothing you want to say to me?” Raka asked.
Anya felt her heart beat very fast. She averted her gaze and did not want to look at Raka. What's the matter? Why was Raka suddenly acting like this?
”Why don't you answer me?” Raka's tall body kept approaching, leaving no distance for Anya to escape. The woman felt even more panicked when she saw him.
Raka must have heard rumors about money from Mahendra's family that Anya never received.
”I don't know what you want. Please get out of this place!” Anya pushed Raka's body hard, ”If you don't come home tonight, Raisa will think I have kidnapped you again. What would everyone say if they found out that you and I were in the employee room alone like this?”
Anya felt panicked. Her heart was beating fast while her hands were sweating with anxiety. She didn't want to be here. She didn't want to talk to Raka. She had to leave immediately…
”Anya, three years ago ... Where did you get the money for your mother's surgery?” Raka kept asking her.
Anya was silent and did not answer the question. She glanced here and there, looking for an opening to leave this place.
