41 A Proposition? (1/2)

”Me?” asked Greg pointing at himself.

James nodded and said with a smile,”Yes, you. Or is there anyone with a name Greg? If there is n.o.body, then I would be appreciated to speak with you in private.”

Greg looked at Pete and after seeing his nod, he turned back and walked toward James.

”Thank you. Then please follow me.” said James and left the backyard with Greg following him from behind.

Everybody else remained motionless after sawing what have transpired. Just after a moment of silence did Pete speak up.

”Well, it seems everything is okay, so we will meet in the next segment. If you have any questions, you can come and find me freely.”

After saying that, Pete turned around and started to walk away.

When everyone went away, Dorothy and Isla stood there still with an embroiled face.

”Sis, why did Dad come for? Did Greg do something wrong?” asked Dorothy anxiously.

”I don't know. He didn't say anything about coming to New-Was.h.i.+ngton. I got suprised too.” answered Isla.

”Should we follow them? Maybe if there is something, we can help him.” said Dorothy as she was looking at where Greg and James dissapeared to.

After pondering for a bit Isla nodded.

”Sure. Let's go.” said and the two girls started to walk where James and Greg walked away.

Inside one of the Mansion's room James was sitting behind a table. In front of him was Greg, also sitting.

After a moment of silence, James started to talk.

”Long time no see. How is your life going in Hope Academy? Do you like it so far?”

”Yes and it goes smoothly, if I can say that.” answered Greg with a smile.

”I see, it's good to hear. Well, let's get to the main point. I would like to ask you something.” as James was saying this, he took out a doc.u.ment and showed it to Greg.

Greg took it over and opened it. As soon he looked at the pictures and the papers in it, his face stiffened, but only for a second.

”As you can see, these are adats from an unknown man in a black hooded suit. Where did he show up first, what route did he chosse to go and what he did after he appeared out of nowhere.” said James calmly as he looked at Greg.

Greg looked up and asked,”And what should I do with this?”

”Well, if you turn a page you will see it by yourself.” answered James and point at the doc.u.ment.

Greg did what he heard and after turning a page he started to read.

In there, everything could be found that he did in the last 2 and a half month. When did he depart from home to Lissabon, when and where did he take a pause during his trip, what did he do and even his little trip to Durban was mentioned there.

Everything was in there on by one.

”As you can see, I collected some little information about your last 2 months.” said James.

”LITTLE? IT'S ALMOST LIKE SPYING ON ME!” shouted in his head Greg and after calming down he asked,”And what should I do with these informations?”

”What I want to say is that, where you went, the man in black appeared. And what is more his trace disappeared not long after France's border, where we met.” said James as he bent a little closer.

”Plus, when you visited Durban the man appeared again. This couldn't be just a coincidence, no?” asked James curiously.

Greg looked at James and asked,”And your point is?”

After a short silence James pointed at Greg and said,”My point is that either you are a helper of him or you know where he goes and want to find him for some reason.”

”Huh?”

Greg looked at him stupefied and thought,”So he doesn't even suspect me as the man? Haha... How lucky I am.”

Seeing that Greg doesn't want to speak, he asked,”So tell me, which one? I want to find him also, so maybe we can help each other.”

Greg hearing this didn't know what to say. First he thought over the pro and cons of each situation.
