5 The Journey Begins (2/2)

Greg's body got dropped out of a rift from above and he fell to the ground. He stood up and after dusting his clothes off he looked around and he noticed that it was already night and he was standing before a small hill.

” Ahh! Thanks Elohim. So you knew where I live and brought me here.” with a smiling face he started to go up on the hill.

While he was walking up on the hill he thought over everything that happened that day. How he got an invitation to the best academy in the world, how he got into a fight with hooligans, how he got almost killed and how he met with Elohim and got powers from him.

For checking it that it wasn't a dream he put out his hand and imagined the same dagger as before and when he did, the weapon appeared in his hand.

”Nice! So it wasn't a dream and all that happened is real. I'm so excited!”

While he said that, suddenly he heard a strange noise from behind him. When he turned around and looked up, his face stiffened in an instant. It was because what he saw was worst than a nightmare.

Above him from a black rift like hole, which was as big as a normal house, two big and disgusting hands were coming out. When the two limbs came out a head followed them. It had no eyes nor ears just a huge mouth with teeth the size of an average human. After the head came out it stopped and turned its face towards Greg.

With a creepy voice it started to talk. ”Hu-human are you the one who possesssss a portion of power from a G.o.d?”

Greg said with a stern voice replied ” Even if I have it what do you care? It's not like you can take it away from me, can't you?”

”Y-yeeeeah you are r-righhht. I can't take it from you, but I can kill you. After that I can eat you to become stronger! Kekeke!”

After the monster said that it started to come out of the rift. When its body was fully on the ground and stood up, it's size was so huge that Greg needed to bend a bit backward, just to see the monster's face.

”W-wow.. Elohim said that these monsters will come sooner than later, but I didn't knew that they would come this fast.”

”I-Its futile to ressssissst human. Let me kill you in one hit, so you won't feel any pain! Kekeke!” And with that the monster hit toward Greg. It was so fast that Greg didn't have the chance to react. Just as the hand was about to hit his face Greg said one word.

”Freeze!”

In that moment, everything went to a standstill. Not only the monster's hand which was one or two inches away from Greg's face, but the leaves in the air and also the trees stopped moving. Everything was motionless.

But just because of this, blood started to appear in the corner of Greg's mouth.

”Hmm...Elohim said it right. Even if I use this power now it makes my sight a bit blurry and I start to cough up blood, because of the impact it makes to my body. I have a long way to go if I want to use it in it's fullest extent.” said Greg while he wiped the blood from his mouth.

”Well then. Now that I don't have a lot of time I need to finish this quick.” and with that Greg put his hands out and at that moment two swords appeared in his hands. One in the right and the other one in the left. The swords edge were blue while the grip black. The shape of them was like a katana, but a bit shorter.

After his hands grabbed the two swords, he jumped up where the monster's head was with the helping of the wind element. When he was in front of it he slashed of it's head from it's shoulder.

In that moment, time started to go forward again and everything moved like nothing happened and the monster's body started to fade into ash.

”Blahhhh...” After landing, Greg coughed up another mouthful of blood. It's a really hard task for him to control his powers without injury.

After he wiped his blood off, he noticed a strange object s.h.i.+ning on the ground where the monster disappeared...
