52 Chapter Fifty-Two: Whatever Happens (1/2)

Siran recalls a time he spent talking with Gaia. During the time he spent alone after defeating Naris the first time, before he met Angela's daughter Lily, his mind was pulled into Valhalla again.

”So why did Naris hate humans so much?” Siran asks.

”Because” Gaia says, ”he believes that humans are what's wrong with the universe. He doesn't see the point of creating something without the intention of ruling over it. Due to that, he also believes the gods' choice to leave the human realm in the hands of humans was a bad decision. What he wants is to reclaim a realm that isn't even his. To do so, he planned on destroying everything that is currently living and recreate the world”.

”Isn't that a little... too much?” Siran asks.

”When you believe you're in a position to where your actions don't have consequences” Gaia says, ”most tend to choose the most of rash decisions. Some believe it's a cry for attention, others believe this happens because someone just wants to see how far they can go. Test their boundaries, in a way, before someone tries to step in”.

”Then he's short minded?” Siran asks in disappointment.

”Most living things are short minded” Gaia responds. ”This includes you and the rest of humanity”.

”Do I even count as human anymore?” Siran asks.

”Being human is about more than appearances” Gaia says. ”This is why I say you and the rest of humanity are short minded. Your heart still holds the strength of humanity. Whether or not you believe in that power is your choice to make, but remember, you represent what it means to be human”.

As Siran prepares to fight Predator in this final battle in Omnia, Siran sheds his human appearance and shows his beastly form again. Siran reaches back under his jacket and pulls out that dark blue hat Zia returned to him. As Siran's eyes glow a bright and shining red, he smiles. ”So if you're really Naris” he says, ”then why are there so many of you?”.

”We're merely incomplete” Markwood says.

”Within time” Garreth says.

”We shall be complete” John says.

”Until then” Agatha says.

”We're going to have some fun, Siran” Kyle says.

Siran laughs and says ”Fun... yeah, alright”.

Predator makes the first move and charges at Siran. Predator prepares a jump kick mixed with powerful distortion magic. However, Siran coats his entire right arm in reactive endo and slips his hand through the distortion with ease. Grabbing Predator's foot, Siran flings him over the crew and shoots at him with his gun. Predator swipes at the beam fired from Siran's gun and deflects it. As Predator recovers and stands on his feet, Siran gently puts his hands on the ground behind himself, with his back to Predator. Channeling magic into the ground. Predator once again charges at Siran, but moves so fast that he seemed to almost teleport. Siran uses the illusion skill, shadow step, and gets behind Predator. Siran trips Predator and he falls to the ground.

”I wouldn't lay there” Siran says.

Predator looks up at Siran, but suddenly rocks form around Predator and entangle him. Tying Predator to the ground, Siran prepares a reactive endo spell in his hands. The rest of the crew prepares reactive endo as well, and they all throw it at the same time. All of the spells hit the ground with an intense impact, causing rock and dust to fly into the air from an explosion. However, as mangled as the Predator was, when the dust cleared he still stood.

”Damn that thing is sturdy” Vivi says.

Predator makes a shrieking noise as spikes shoot up from the ground at Siran. Siran throws the same spell at Predator and the two spells collide. Predator then throws a fire spell at Siran that turns into a wall of flames. Siran does the same, once again, the two spells collide. Spell after spell, Siran kept matching Predator's power.

Suddenly, shouting could be heard as Ruby picked up Demetri over her head. ”No!” Demetri yells, ”Do not throw the Russian!”.

”Shh!” Ruby says, ”keep it down and stick with the plan!”.

As Demetri is thrown at Predator, he yells ”I don't like this plan!”. Demetri flies at Predator with something in his hands. When Demetri comes close to Predator, he tries to grab him. Predator punches Demetri in the face as Demetri grabs him. As Predator looks down, he notices something on his chest. A pack of plastic explosives.

”Zia! Now!” Demetri yells.

Zia jumps at Predator and sends him flying away from the crew with a powerful wind spell. Demetri pushes a button and the explosives go off. Predator's body bounces across the ground and stops. After a short second of waiting, Predator stands back up. However, Predator's movements have slowed down significantly. The robot couldn't seem to move properly anymore. Just as it looked like Predator was about to charge again, a knife of reactive endo pierces it's chest thrown from Rose. A shockwave goes through Predator's body, destroying most of the endo that powers him up. Predator falls to the ground and doesn't get back up again.

”Anymore of these silly tricks?” Siran asks.

As Markwood slowly walks forward, he says ”I thought I told you to play nice”.
