47 Chapter Forty-Seven: Predator (2/2)

Tanya has mixed reactive endo with her buff spells and was punching one Hunter's lights out after another. Before long, she was stopped by another man using distortion magic. As she was knocked to the ground, the man charged at her but was stopped by a sudden pain shooting through his left leg. Robin had used his sniper rifle and shot the man in the leg. As the man looks over at Robin, who was smiling, Tanya stands up and grabs the man by the back of the head. She pummels his head into the dirt, then stands him back up by pulling on his neck. The man stood upright on his feet, but he got dizzy and collapsed as he lost consciousness.

Meanwhile, Zia and Kirk kept trading blows. After a while, they were locked in a stalemate, blocking and dodging each other's punches. Before long, Kirk got tired of this game and he prepared another distortion spell in his right hand. Before he was able to throw a punch with the spell, Siran pulled Zia out of the way, spun around, and hit Kirk with the back of his fist. Siran had used reactive endo with his buff spells, but also elemental magic. Siran hit Kirk so hard that his face smashed open, and then was followed by a gust of wind that sent him flying backwards. Kirk flew back about 5 meters and hit the ground with a hard thud.

Kirk leans up and looks right at Siran, saying ”So you do have some fight in you”.

”You're not taking me” Siran says, ”nor am I letting you kill any of my friends”.

”You've already killed some of mine” Kirk says, ”eye for an eye”.

”An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind” Siran says, ”and I'm afraid killing any of them is out of the question”.

”Do you really think you can handle all of us at once?” Kirk asks with a smile.

Without saying a word, Siran crouches over and focuses a lot of magic into the ground. The ground started to rumble, and Kirk's men all directed their attention at Siran. In a split second, multiple spikes of rock shot up from the ground, impaling most of Kirk's men and crushing the rest between the spikes. ”All of who?” Siran asks.

Kirk began to shake in fear. ”You really are a monster” he says. ”The world really would be better off without you. The world doesn't need someone like you, Siran!”.

Immediately after Kirk says Siran's name again, Predator shows up. Predator jumps from one of the nearby rooftops and lands between Siran and Kirk, with his back facing Kirk, looking right at Siran. The ground cracked beneath his feet. Predator tilts his head as he looks at Siran and a low growling voice could be heard coming from the machine known as Predator, with his voice sounding shaky and harsh, barely managing to talk properly. ”Jack...?” Predator says. ”Can't believe... you.. are still... alive”.

Siran froze as Alex asks ”what's he saying?”.

”Who's Jack?” Rose asks.

”The only Jack I know of” Ruby says, ”is Jack Tobin of The Mages Guild”.

”Jack...” Predator says as he slowly but twitchingly raises his right hand to point at Siran, ”ah... you're... S-S-Siran now?... that's... right”.

”Who is this guy?” Tanya asks.

”Wait” Robin asks, ”is that The Sniper? But I thought that Siran was The Sniper...”.

”Of course I was” Siran says, ”you guys even saw me take off my mask!”.

”Then who is this?” Finn asks.

”I don't know, but I've got a really bad feeling about this” Siran says.

”Does he know you somehow?” Zia asks. ”Maybe he survived The Naris Catastrophe as well. Was your name before perhaps Jack?”.

”I don't remember!” Siran panics.

”Long time... no... see” Predator says. ”We have... unfinished... business... I've waited... for... a long... time”. Immediately, Predator jumps at Siran and the two throw a punch at each other. Both used powerful distortion magic, and the collision caused a small explosion of wind and a strong gust.

”What the...?” Kirk says as he scurries backwards, ”What is this? What's going on? Why are they so strong?”.

Predator hops back just a little bit and kicks at Siran. Predator's foot stops before hitting Siran, but an unimaginably strong gust of wind sent Siran flying backwards. Siran kept flying and didn't show any signs of slowing down any time soon, however he had another problem to worry about. As Siran was sent flying, a single spike shot up from the ground directly at Siran as he flew. Siran couldn't dodge in midair, so he threw reactive endo at it and made it crumble with an explosion. However, Predator jumped through the cloud of dust and smoke, flying at Siran. Predator planted his feet on Siran's chest and suddenly their flight pattern changed as if they were magnetized to the ground. Predator brought Siran directly into the ground, pummeling his body into a hole made in the ground from the impact. Siran choked and coughed from having the air in his lungs forced out of his body from the attack. ”It's a good thing I activated that stability buff at the last second” Siran thinks to himself, ”that would've killed any normal person”. Predator, who still stood on top of Siran, had one hand raised towards the sky. Clouds quickly moved in and rain began to fall.

As the rest of The Six Guns tried to catch up to Siran, they noticed the clouds. ”Can... can that guy control the weather!?” Zia asks.

”That can't be right” Alex says.

”But it was sunny until just now!” Vivi panics.

”How far away did they go?” Rose asks.

Suddenly, a bolt of lightning strikes the ground and the crew rushes towards where it struck. When they arrive, they see Siran standing on his feet, and a burn mark on the ground where the lightning struck close to Siran. Suddenly, another bolt comes from the sky and strikes right at Siran. Siran redirects it and makes it strike the ground again.

”Uh... guys?” Rose says, ”I don't think lightning is supposed to strike at the same place twice like that”.

”No way” Ruby says. ”Not even a Mage is this strong. Who is this guy?”.

Predator slowly turns his head towards the rest of the group. ”Nice... to meet... you... humans” he says, ”My name... is... Naris”.
