33 UNWANTED DISPUTES (1/2)

As the morning drew near, Alex and Zunnie made love as if they were in their honeymoon phase. He was determined to plant his seeds within Zunnie's haven and only stopped when she fell asleep in his arms.

He curled his lips into a thin smile, kissed her forehead and whispered, ”good night Little Thing,” into her ear.

As he drifted off to sleep he came to the realization that he truly loved her. At first, he was only curious; then he wanted to own her. He gradually began wanting to have her and now he deeply wanted to spend his days with her and call her his.

The next morning when Alex work up Zunnie was still sleeping soundly in his arms. He tried to free himself from her embrace, but she held on to him tightly.

When he tried to free himself a second time, she woke up. She groggily stared at his bare chest then looked up to meet his eyes.

”Good morning,” Zunnie said when she looked up and saw his pair of amber eyes staring down at her.

Alex didn't reply but bent his head and kissed her on the lips, to which she blushed like an idiot.

”Do you have to work today?” He asked her, and she shook her head against his naked chest.

”What about you?”

”I'll stay home with you today. I just need to make a few calls.”

They both got out of bed; Zunnie went for a shower and Alex headed back to his condo to make a few calls.

Alex had not returned when Zunnie came downstairs. She grabbed some ingredients and prepared brunch for two. When he came back she was already done and had laid the dishes on the dining table.

Alex sat in the chair opposite from her and stared at her a cold glint appearing in his eyes.

”Will you marry me?” He placed his fork down and waited for her to reply.

”I thought I made myself clear last night, I can't marry you, Alex.” Her impassive response sent ripples through Alex's heart.
