15 SAN, SAVE ME (1/2)

When the host began announcing the first item for the auction, Zunnie's heart started pounding. She took a sharp breath and impatiently waited for him to call her name. She bit her bottom lip and squeezed her eyes shut.

However, she was relieved when he said…

”...an emerald bracelet, worth seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars…”

The bid started off at nine hundred thousand dollars... the bracelet was immediately sold for one million dollars. The guests were astounded when an older man who looked to be in his seventies purchased the bracelet. No-one knew that he came especially for this bracelet. Being a collector, he had his eyes on this bracelet for years. When he heard it was going to be auctioned off, he made sure he got an invitation. He was now delighted as the host moved on to the next item.

As the auction went on Zunnie slowly relaxed. 'Maybe they were playing a prank on me,' she couldn't help thinking.

Yet still, to the end of the auction, she sent Sanua a text...

”So, my dad and brother made plans to auction a diner date with me. Please help! Don't want to end up spending an hour eating with an odd ball. Please buy me!”

”Haha…lol, your family sure likes to tease you. Sorry but you're too expensive…I'm not buying”

”I'm begging you San…”

”Sorry babe, but your dad will kill me if I intervene...He warned me earlier not to even blink during the auction. ''Don't you dare blink during the auction today” …his exact words. Thought he was joking…but I guess not. Haha so funny, fighting!”

Zunnie was lost for words…she wanted to cry. They were having fun at her discomfort.

”FINE…!!”

”Someone's angry...hehe.” Sanua loved Zunnie but she was excited as well. They had been friends for so long and Zunnie was still an untouched flower.

In high school, Zunnie was popular among the boys, but to her education had been a priority. Sometimes she doubted that Zunnie had a heart. She hoped whoever was interested tonight would sweep her off her feet like in the romance movies.

She was smiling as she made eye contact with Zunnie who was glaring fire at her.
