26 Not remembering isnst bad either (2/2)
”Whether it is your ability that is blocking you from remembering or some other paranormal cause.” His handwriting is beautiful. ”What is your age?”
”I turned twenty-four recently.”
”Have you received your brain scan results?”
”There is nothing wrong in that.”
”Physical reason is out then.” He crosses the 'physical' word. ”To check whether it is paranormal or psychological, we have to do some tests.”
”What kind of tests?” She asks doubtfully.
”First, tomorrow, you will go to the children ward and find a child named 'Ahn Jae Yi.' When you find him, you will say the words, ”Don't tell anyone what you can see.” Then, you will fall asleep near the children ward.”
”You think that I will remember this?” She bites her lip nervously.
”We will know tomorrow.”
Next day, Nam Ji Won feels bored and goes out. She wanders to the children ward. One by one, she visits each child.
”Ahn Jae Yi!” She suddenly calls out. A small head appears out of the blanket.
”You are Ahn Jae Yi?” She asks curiously.
”I am.” The boy is nervous.
”Don't tell anyone what you can see.”
Ahn Jae Yi's eyes go round when he hears her words. He hides under the blanket again. She scratches her head. She has no idea why she said it. She doesn't think of it much. She feels sleepy. She sits on the bench near the children ward and falls asleep.
Nam Ji Won sighs when she sees her body asleep on the cold bench. She pities herself. She goes to see Choi Minho and tells him everything.
”We need a few more tests to confirm,” Choi Minho tells her lazily. ”After three days, I want you to run away from the hospital without any shoes.”
”....”
Like that, he makes her do many things. It seems that she remembered his instructions subconsciously. She would run away or bring something he wanted. It works only if she agreed to do it.
”Tomorrow, find Seo Tae Il and try to make up with him,” He tells her one day. ”Bring me honey-flavoured ice cream.”
Nam Ji Won doesn't agree immediately. ”Bringing ice cream is not a problem. Why do I have to find him?”
Choi Minho smiles. ”You didn't ask why I know about Seo Tae Il?”
”You did a background check,” She replies without batting her eyes.
”I only had to ask a few ghosts about you.” He chuckles. ”This is the last test. It is also tough. If you agree to meet him and you meet him tomorrow, it will confirm something.”
She decides to believe this cunning fox. After meeting Tae Il and doing the unspeakable thing, she is too ashamed to go back to her body.
”It's too late for regrets.” Choi Minho wants to pat her when he sees her depressed
”We now know that the cause is psychological. If it was paranormal, you wouldn't remember any instruction or you would remember everything. But you can remember the instructions, but you can't remember the reasons. Your mind blocks the reasons, but not the instructions. Do you understand now?”
”It's too complicated.” She sighs.
”If you still want to remember, I can help you.” Choi Min Ho gives her a fox smile. ”When you get discharged, come to find me on the third floor of D building, A street, CB district.”
”Why not now?” She looks at him warily. ”How would you do it.”
”Patience is necessary,” He tells her. ”When you find Miss Yoo, tell her that Teacher Choi sent you. She will explain things.”
