”en, I know...”

”are you sure you don't want to tell young miss Hui?”

”...no, she might freak out”

”Mr. Hui! This concerns your health! Please be mindful of your daughter's feelings”

The car was heading to the drive through area when a question popped in Derek's mind

”Hey, xiao Yin, have you ever thought of working at the hospital again?”

”No”

”ermm I heard that Wen Qianji is getting married, when do you plan on wearing a gown yourself?”

”I'm not in a rush”

”you...fine” Derek said sighing as he drove into the drive thru station.

The ride back to her apartment was silent. She was never quite a fan of talking and she never made an effort to ever change that.

Once the car was parked, she opened the door and walked out, not caring about the wheelchair that was left in the trunk

”should you really walk?”

”of course, you faked the results didn't you?”

”just the sprained ankle part! It doesn't mean that you don't have injuries..” he was given a cold stare from Hui Yin which never failed to freak him out.

Hui Yin reached out for her medicine kit and redressed her wounds then drank medicine which would speed up the healing of her wounds.

”hey, come one now, let's eat” Derek called out

”sure” she enjoyed take out foods because of the packages. But before she could take a bite of her food, her phone rang.

”Greetings Mr. Cheng”

”I'm sorry, are you Anna Lin?” the guy on the other line asked

”yes, who could you be?” she was confused and checked the caller ID once again

”I'm uhh Carl, I was told to call this number”

”hmm okay, where?”
