85 Why Fear The Inevitable? (1/2)
She scanned the room for the blonde girl that Asrael had been interacting with. If she found that girl, she would find the other girl he spoke of. Her gaze landed on Chrysa, and just as expected, next to her was the target.
Little Red made eye contact with her, and when she did, she beckoned with a wave of her hand. Bethany followed the instruction with a weird expression, and behind her came along Chrysa.
”Asrael wants to see you.” Little Red spoke to her, neglecting that Chrysa was within earshot. With a glance toward the blonde, she said, ”You come too.”
She was killing two birds with one stone. If Chrysa were to witness whatever proceeded, Asrael would be forced to cut his sick little game short.
Minding her own business was what Little Red would usually do, however, she didn't dare let Asrael get the better of her.
She led the way without so much as a word to the two girls. The differing emotions that shown on both their faces could only be hesitation.
Stopping at the door to the room, Little Red turned to Bethany. ”Just you.”
Bethany had been speculating the entire walk over. She knew that Asrael preferred Chrysa, so the only reason she could think of for this meeting, was that he found out about what she did.
After walking in, Little Red closed the door behind her. Asrael stood with his back to her, and it gave a somewhat ominous feeling. After noticing the blood on the floor, her mind was sent for a loop. The air tasted like metal.
Asrael turned around, and just having realized something, he sighed. ”Too bad. I should have borrowed her dagger.”
”What's going on?” Bethany's heart sped up at the word 'dagger', despite her doubts. She was fairly certain that he was only talking like that because of the...
