80 Death Vendors (2/2)
”Bethany, stop... okay? I'll go! And, I don't like him, so-!” Chrysa pursed her lips, trying to hide the turmoil in her heart.
Asrael saw and heard it all. He could even detect all the poison in Bethany's words. If she tried anything, he wouldn't overlook it. Ah, wait. He'd almost forgotten his goal here.
Bethany should be beneficial to his plan, right? So why does he hate her so much? He knew the answer, but it was still hard to admit.
He had no idea that all his plans would blow up in his face. All because of a little mishap on Saturday.

His ride had arrived. Merlin in a black van rolled up to the school. Getting into the passenger seat, he gave the man a questioning look.
”Lufti couldn't make it today.” The man with teeth as yellow as mustard spoke.
”Oh? And you thought it was alright to come get me in a van?” Asrael raised an eyebrow.
”Your favorite Mercedes is currently... in the repair shop.”
”What happened?” Asrael gave him a cold glance. ”You had better give me a good excuse. I'm not in a good mood today.”
”I took it for a spin and scratched it.”
”Merlin. I think it's rather brave of you to protect Rana like that. Let her know that I'll deal with her at a later date.” Asrael look at him chillingly.
Merlin shivered, but he still had something to notify his boss about. ”Lufti wanted me to tell you that an organization of assassins is holding a search for someone on Saturday, he said that it's under the cover of a highschool party. Also, that they are probably looking for you.”
”Huh.” Asrael was surprised. He was suddenly excited for Saturday even more than he already was. ”Which Organization?”
”They call themselves the 'Death Vendors'.” Merlin was itching for a cigarette, but before he could get one out of the glove box, Asrael's gaze made him pause.
An insane-asylum worthy smile was plastered on his face, while his sky blue eyes glinted. Merlin couldn't help but recoil.
