37 Jeffrey (1/2)

She had shadows of light leaking through the foliage resting on her face. She was up against the tree, balancing herself on the branch she stood on. Above her sat Dante, kicking his legs in the air while his gaze was directed at the window of the mansion.

”You better not fall.” She lightly warned.

”Why?”

”Cause' I'll have to jump down to soothe you.” Zuna slid down against the tree into a sitting position.

”If I fall you won't have to soothe me.” Dante said without looking back at her.

”Even if you don't cry, it'll still hurt.” Zuna looked up at him.

”No it won't.” He looked back. ”I don't feel pain.”

She was silent for a moment. ”Is that one of your abilities?”

”Asrael has it too.”

The idea of having different abilities wasn't new, but no pain? Indeed, Asrsel and Dante were a lot different than the rest, first was the slower aging, and now neither feel pain?

”Anything else?” Zuna asked. She knew about his healing ability, and that he was like her dad in the way that he couldn't get injured.

”Asrael can change his appearance.” His face was blank.

”Oh.” Zuna wondered how much Asrael could actually change, but she figured she would find out eventually. ”How's your strength?”

”Me and Asrael are stronger than average mortals.” Dante changed his gaze back towards the window.

”I guess that's normal for most Immortals then.” Zuna nodded and also looked towards the window. They were a ways away, but they could still see inside. It was an empty bedroom.

Buzz. Buzz. Zuna furrowed her thin eyebrows before reaching to get her phone.

Eirik: ”When are you coming back?”

She thought for a moment, tapping the side of her phone with the tip of her finger. She inevitably relayed the entire situation to him, while also mentioning Asrael and Dante's abilities.

Another text, it was Arius this time. ”When are you coming home?”
