48 They Are Destined To Face Me (1/2)
”What is your take? Do you want me to call the police?”
Aliya was still in shock. The sudden revelation she had been told hit her like a thunderbolt. She had mixed emotions. She was thankful and grateful for this person; she was angry on whoever had done this; she was scared at even thinking that if it was not for him who handled her, what could have happened to her. She was shocked to know that there was someone who wanted her to fall, someone wanted her to make her fail miserably, either by hook or crook. Her mind kept giving her random thoughts and her heart was pacing fast. She could hear her own heartbeats. To top it, there was headache which seemed as a side effect of those drugs. Before she could ask, Rishi served her a glass of water and a piece of chocolate. She knew chocolates can relive her from this headache for sometime. She gulped the water and ate chocolate. She was relieved.
”Better?”
”Yes.”
”I would suggest you to seek medical help. I know these kind of drugs. They are used to partially or completely make someone unconscious for 8-9 hours. Mostly females are the victims who are drugged in clubs or bars. In such cases, the victim must have a check up. By the way what were you doing inside the bathroom?”
”Finding yourself on a bed and seeing a shirtless man lying there, not remembering what had happened last night, what do you expect from a lady like me to think? I was checking myself. But thankfully nothing was wrong except this swollen hand.”
”You fell from this bed last night. Maybe that was when you had hurt yourself.”
”And what about...
”Stop inquiring for now. Hurry to go to the hospital.”
”I may have caused so much trouble.... Anyways, I will definitely go for a check up.”
”Get ready then. I will be waiting.”
”Waiting?”
”Yes. I will accompany you.”
”Why should you accompany me? You have already done so much. Here on wards I can manage this by myself.”
”It is not about any favor, Aliya. As a CEO, it was my responsibility also to take care and supervise everything happening here. Moreover, you weren't supposed to come. But circumstances were such that you too joined us. You were my extra responsibility. Since the day you landed here, something or the other inauspicious events are taking place in your life. Needless to say, you are not in fault. I was being so careless. And in this situation how can I trust someone else? We don't know who were they. But they are my own employees for sure. I can't leave you alone.”
”Stop blaming yourself. Everything happens for a reason. Maybe those cunning foxes were destined to learn a lesson from me.”
Saying this she got up. She was in a better state now. She was determined to teach those deceptive and treacherous people a lesson for life. Of course, she was thinking to file a complaint but she had her own ways to give such people their own doing back. Also she had done this with a few. So she knew how to deal with such garbage.
