17 Her Last Words May Come True (2/2)
*knock knock*
”Come in.”
”Sir, actually you said there's a meeting... Aliya was about to ask but Rishi said
”Yes, sit down on that couch. I've to discuss something.”
”Sure.”
Of course Aliya had some doubts, but she decided to first listen what Rishi has to say. Soon after some time Rishi got up from his chair and went near the couch. He sat besides Aliya maintaining a distance.
”Aliya actually I had to discuss something important that is not at all related to any office work. That is why I decided to talk to you when the working hours are over. But for that you have to patiently listen to what I say.”
Aliya knew that there was something fishy. She was prepared. Therefore she replied
”I'll try my best.”
Rishi took a deep breath and started
”Okay. So, Aliya we both know what had happened in our past. Of course it left a deep mark in both of our minds. I know the injury which I gave you has left a scar. But I want you to forgive me. I know it may sound impossible to you but still try to do. See, 10 years have passed. There is no benefit in holding grudges against me. I've always prayed to God to give me a chance to plead you for forgiveness.”
”Maybe 10 years have passed. But it was difficult for me to bear that pain before and even today. You may have changed Rishi but I'm still the same. I still remember what you said me.”
”And I regret to say those words. I never understood that once a word is spoken then it cannot be taken back. In my case the problem was not of a single word, but every mistake I did.”
”If it was a mistake then I could have forgotten it. But those were deliberate actions. There are no chances to forgive a sin.”
”I know. I can only be punished. But do you know, that I've been punished many times for this sin?”
”How could I know? I only know what Anushka did to you.”
”There's something else which happened to me and my sister 9 years back.”
