64 She Was Just Too Perfec (1/2)
”Miss what are we going to do? The fashion show is in a few days and yet we still haven't found a good replacement for Ms. Angelique...”
”Ma'am, I suggest we use one of the older models...”
”I don't understand why all of you are such in a rush, we do not know Angelique's situation yet so why make a rush decision.”
”Director we do not know if she'll be awake for the runway.”
As everyone in the room continues to argue and quarrel with each other. One person was busy contemplating on something else. She was so deep in thought that she was unable to hear any of the arguments in the room.
”Ma'am?”
As she notices someone called her attention, she finally snaps back into reality and looks at the confused face of the people in the room.
Before she could acknowledge them, she took a deep sigh as she places her hand on the table and said. ”For now, we aren't changing anything. If by the next 24 hours we do not hear anything from Angelique side then we will replace her. But for now, no one is making any changes. The poor girl is in a coma because of us, remember we are still responsible if things go for the worst for her...”
As she realizes that her words have hit a certain point she did not continue and sat back at her chair.
Everyone became silent after hearing her words, no dare talk back. They realize and remember that an innocent girl's life is currently at the edge because of them. Despite it was an accident the President has taken it deep into heart since she really favors Angelique and was even the one who brought her in.
Suddenly the president's personal phone rung, everyone's attention quickly turned towards it. The awkward silence in the room was finally lifted.
”Hello...” The woman said as she picked up the phone without even checking who it was.
Everyone was suddenly stunned when they saw the President gloom face turned bright as if the doorway of heaven have opened up for her. Before she could explain to everyone and finalize the meeting, she quickly stood up and disappeared without a trace of word.
