3 PROLOGUE 3 (1/2)

Little Maria felt her face burned because of her little conversation with Toby.

When the mass was over, she sadly walked to the park by herself then, silently sit on the swing. Little Maria became more depressed because she missed Toby. She's just observing the other children who were enjoying their playtime. She's not in the mood to play anymore.

”Iya?”

Little Maria abruptly turned around to see Toby.He is the only one who called her that name and she was indeed right.

”Toby!!” she called him happily and hugged him.

Toby hugged her back and she felt embarrassed. She pulled away and said

”You never attend the mass!”

”im sorry, it is because we need to prepare for our flight.” Toby explained sadly.

”flight? you're leaving?”

”yeah. my parents decided to live at the US for good.”

”but why? are you not happy here?”

Toby remained silent and she continue.

”you're leaving me?!” Little Maria said emotionally. Tears started to pour from her eyes.

”im sorry Iya, my dad had a business there and they decided to live there.” Toby said while trying to hold her but she step backwards.

”but you said that you like me..... ...as a friend. ” Little Maria speak shyly.

”and you said that we're going to share our food 'till we grow old!!” she said while crying.she stomped her foot in frustration.

”please don't cry. it's hard for me to leave also. to leave you, you have been special to me. ” Toby said to her sadly.She remained silent.

”but I promise you that when I get old and can take care of myself I'm gonna find you so we xan grow old together. ” Toby continue and huggedher.

”promise? ” Little Maria asked while wiping her tear streaked face.

”I promise. ”Toby nodded.

”okay,but pinky promise first. ” she held out her pinkyfinger and Toby did the same.

”pinky promise.!” they said in unison.

”so you're just here to say goodbye to me? ”

”yes!I don't want to leave without saying goodbye to you.and I want to see you before I leave. ”

”okay.come here I'll hug you goodbye. ” she open her arms to hug Toby.

”be a good boy there,understand? ”
