”Ji An, I'll go see mother first. I'll come and meet you after. I want to take you somewhere.” he smiled sweetly at her.

”Can I come too daddy?” little Sofia asked.

Cheng Ze knelt down on one knee and he talks to Sofia ”Spend some time with nana while we're gone. It's not gonna be long. We'll be back before you know it.” he touched her little cute nose. And he lifts her up and carried her. ”Did you know my nose and yours are the same?” he held Ji Ans hand again.

Madam Gu watched them. She smiled at the scene of Cheng Ze and Ji An and their daughter. ”My children, why are you making it hard for yourself?”

Cheng Ze put Sofia down and let Ji An's hand go. ”I'll be back. I'll find you okay?”

She nodded and smiled. Sofia runs to her room to play with her toys.

Ji An also left and went to her room to relax for a little bit. She lies down and plays with her phone. She saw Eric's missed calls. She ignored them and didn't call him back. She doesn't really know what to tell him. She eventually fell asleep.

Cheng Ze went to the study room to talk to his stepmother. He enters the room and saw Madam Gu standing near the bookshelf. She seemed to be reading a something.

Cheng Ze let out an ”ehem” sound to get her attention and to let her know he's here. ”You want to see me?” he spoke first.

The sudden noise made her look at the door. ”Come in Cheng Ze” she smiled at him sweetly and walk towards him. ”Coffee?”

”No, I'm good!” he replied politely.

”I want to ask you if you can give Ji An a job in the company? Will it be possible?”

”A job for her? She didn't mention anything to me, and does she need a job? Will she accept it if I appoint her as my personal secretary?” he replied seriously.

Madam Gu laugh at him, ”Cheng Ze are you sacking Li Wei? She finished with a degree in Psychology, I want to suggest something if it's doable. How about you'll have a little clinic in your building and she will be the Psychiatrist for your employee, so they will be mentally fit to tackle their job. What do you think?”

'I'm going to share her with my employee? No way! Her time is for me and Sofia only.' ”I don't think that is possible. We don't need that in the company,” he replied with such seriousness.

”Oh, is that so. Okay then. I'll find her a job elsewhere. But thank you for your time.” she made a disappointed face.

Cheng Ze stood up and he was about to open the door when Madam Gu spoke again and made him halt.

”Cheng Ze, did you meet Ji An in London 6 years ago?” her voice sounds she already knows the answer.

Cheng Ze was surprised by her sudden question. ”Hmm? I can't remember, ” he answered her without facing her.

”Okay...? Do you like Ji An?” she paused for 5 seconds ”Or should I rephrase my question. Do you love my daughter?”

'She never once behaved like this before. What is she trying to do?' his brain cannot comprehend what she is saying. He doesn't know how to answer her. 'If I say yes she might not like it if I say no what will she do?' he couldn't reply at all.

”Cheng Ze? Are you okay?” she move closer to him to check him if he is okay.

”I don't feel good right now, can we talk later?” of course, that's just his excuse.

”Of course, you should rest. I'll get some medicine for you. I'll get Ji An to give it to you.” she sounds worried.

Cheng Ze opens the door and made his way out. He went to his old room, he still has his stuff in there. He's not quite sure what's got into his stepmother. He took his clothes off and headed to have a shower. He needs to freshen up and he needs to think how to answer her questions in the future. He totally forgot that he was supposed to take Ji An somewhere.

Madam Gu asked one of the servants to call Ji An and asks another servant to prepare a special medicine. She has this suspicious smile on her face.

The servant manages to wake Ji An up and she brought her downstairs to her mother.

”The servant said you were looking for me?” Ji An asks.

”Oh yes. Can you bring this medicine to Cheng Ze? He doesn't feel too good. I told him I'm sending him medicine but I forgot I'm about to go out to get something. Could you give it to him for me?” she said softly.
