”Grandfather!” Xian Guiying rushed to the side of the bed and grabbed his hand. He's obviously still warm, but why wasn't he moving? In the blink of an eye, she looked at the Heart Surveillance Monitor and felt her body grow cold.

Several doctors heard the scream and entered. They looked at the device, then walked over to the bed and inspected the Old Man's body. The doctors exchanged glances at each other and quietly shook their heads.

Xian Guiying laid on the bed and cried out. Qin Gengxin hurried in to help her. ”Guiying, don't be like this. The Old Man is leaving peacefully. He will feel sad if he sees you like this.”

Xian Guiying suddenly looked at the chair by the bed and looked at the silent Old Woman. Qin Gengxin was afraid Xian Guiying would be upset with the Old Man's death and cause more trouble to his grandmother, so he helped her up. ”We are here for you, you're not alone now. Are you listening to me?”

Xian Guiying just cried and did not say anything. Qin Gengxin forcefully pulled her out of the ward.

Old Man Xian's funeral was not something that can be done in G City. Instead, they specifically send the Old Man's body back to H City, burying him at the green mountain of H City, the place where he loved.

Jiang Ruolan glared at him, looking if he was joking or not, before smiling. ”Really?”

”Why would I lie to you? But right now, sending the Old Man peacefully is more important, we can talk about it after the funeral. Everyone's not in a good mood right now, so we didn't say anything about it.” Qin Gengxin nodded as he spoke.

Jiang Ruolan didn't expect herself to be accurate. It seemed that Guiying intended to keep this child, otherwise she wouldn't be so careful and obedient.

She smiled lightly and said, ”Yesterday, Nanny Cheng took out some things from grandfather's study room. There was a small box in it. I thought it was a cigarette holder; however, when I opened it, I found that there wasn't any cigarette holder, but rather very old letters.”

Qin Gengxin looked in another direction with an indifferent expression as he replied in a low voice, ”I've heard so too.”

”I didn't see clearly what was written on the letters, but I heard from Zihao that it was two suicide letters that your grandfather had left behind. Inside the box, there is grandfather's military emblem when he was a general in the north and a wedding ring with emeralds on it.”
