Chapter 707 - Going Back II (1/2)

Xian Guiying was standing on the balcony, feeling a little sore in her heart. Suddenly, she felt warmth behind her back and she was pulled into a warm embrace.

”Did you hear that?”

”Well, since you didn't go to the study room after you came back,  I thought I came out to check you out.”

”When are we going back? Today?”

”Sure, I'll ask Huang Jingguo to book a flight in a bit. It's a little too early. After all, we haven't prepared anything and haven't packed up. We'll leave tomorrow morning. Don't worry, alright?” Qin Gengxin embraced her gently. He knew that while she didn't want to see Old Man Xian, she was also really afraid that he would suddenly leave.

Xian Guiying didn't say anything. Instead, she turned in his arms, and without a word, she hugged his neck. She buried her head in his neck and whispered with her eyes closed, ”Am I being too selfish?”

”Everyone has something they can't let go of. This isn't considered selfish. Don't think about it too much.” He patted her lightly. ”Guiying, Xian Family is your family. I am part of your family too.”

Xian Guiying took a deep breath, smiled, and hugged his neck tightly. ”Happiness like this should have come earlier. Why make me wait years until I'm old?”

”What old? Why do you women always care about your age? What do you mean by 'old' when you're not even thirty?”

”My 30th birthday is around the corner. I can't hide this age from you any longer.”

The corner of Qin Gengxin's mouth twitched. Could it be that this woman, who had never acted coquettishly before, was actually coquettishly flirting with him? Remind him how many of her birthdays he missed after they got married.

He smiled and hugged her tightly. ”I know.”

Not just her, but their daughter's birthday too.

Just as the two of them were sticking to each other as they stood on the balcony hugging deeply, Qin Gengxin suddenly asked, ”Aren't you going to go to Xian Enterprise? I'll see Huang Jingguo in a while, do you want me to send you there?”

”How are you going to give me a ride when your car isn't here?” Xian Guiying pushed him away gently and cast a glance at him. Seeing that he had purposely brought up this topic, she knew that he was still feeling sour. ”I've thought about it. I won't be going to Xian Enterprise anymore. I've already called Secretary Dai and let her find time to deliver my things.”

Qin Gengxin couldn't help but smile at her. ”Why did you change your mind again?”

She immediately rolled her eyes and walked past him into the room. ”I'm scared to face this ten-thousand-year-old vinegar pot.”

Qin Gengxin smiled. As he was about to enter the house with her, his phone suddenly rang. He looked at his phone, answered it, and replied, ”I'll be there in an hour.”

After Qin Gengxin left, Xia Guiying sat in her bedroom with a suitcase in her hand while looking at the clothes in the closet. This time, she would most likely go to the Qin Family in G City, so what kind of attitude should she have towards the elders?

Whether it was the Xian Family or the Qin Family, they were both the same family she could not part with, even though she was never ready to return.
