Chapter 679 - I’m Punishing Myself (1/2)

Xian Guiying turned her head abruptly and saw that Qin Gengxin was leaning weakly against the railing. He wanted to stand up, but he seemed powerless.

Xian Guiying frowned, the grip on the door handle tightened. She gritted her teeth and forced herself to ignore the problem, but her steps eventually defied her order.

She walked back towards Qin Gengxin and stopped in front of him. Qin Gengxin looked at a pair of high-heeled shoes and slender white legs next to him with a slightly confused expression. He waved his hand without raising his head, ”Leave. All of you leave! Don't worry about me!”

He clearly thought that she was the woman who came out of the Royale Nightclub.

Xian Guiying didn't say anything. She didn't know if he was too drunk to stand up or if he felt uncomfortable. She just bent down a little and handed over the mineral bottle in her hand to him.

Qin Gengxin opened the bottle and took a sip. He glanced at the woman next to him, and when he saw Xian Guiying's face, he was not surprised at all. He just squeezed the bottle with his hand, took another sip, and gargled the water in his mouth twice before spitting it out.

Then, as if he didn't see her, he threw the water bottle aside, holding the railing behind him, and tried to stand up.

Xian Guiying just silently watched him. She didn't say anything. Qin Gengxin struggled to get up and in the end, he sat on the ground in despair. Suddenly, he laughed.

”What are you doing here again?” He sat there with his head lowered. Because he was drunk, his voice was a bit hoarse.

”Passing by.” Xian Guiying's expression was clear. Qin Gengxin was still smiling, but he didn't say anything and tried to stand up again.

Seeing that he could not stand at all, Xian Guiying reached out to help him. However, when her hand touched his sleeve, he suddenly moved away from her as if he had been electrocuted.

Xian Guiying was shocked by his sudden change of attitude. Seeing the redness in his eyes, she frowned. ”Qin Gengxin!”

”Don't call my name!” He said coldly, ”Don't look at me either! You can go now ...”

After saying that, he finally stood on his own. His face was pale with discomfort. His brows were tightly knitted and he weakly growled, ”Don't let me see you again! Just go!”

Another clap of thunder came from the horizon. Qin Gengxin suddenly felt nauseous again. However, he didn't want to let her see it. He turned away from her and vomited in the flower bed.

Xian Guiying walked closer and pulled his arm. ”You can't keep going on like this! Qin Gengxin, can you stop? This is not you at all!”

Qin Gengxin tried his best to drive her away, but Xian Guiying could see that he didn't have much strength left. She grabbed his arm tightly, not wanting him to escape or pushing her away.

Qin Gengxin frowned, as if he didn't have the strength to deal with her anymore. He looked down, closed his eyes, and weakly said, ”I'm punishing myself …”

After saying that, he tried to push her away again, but when he raised his hand, he suddenly fell to the ground next to the flower bed.

Xian Guiying hurriedly supported him with both hands, preventing his head from hitting the edge of the flower bed. ”Qin Gengxin!”

Waves of lightning streaked across the sky, following the drizzle of rain. Xian Guiying watched in horror as Qin Gengxin fell with his eyes tightly closed. She hugged his head and shouted in a low voice, ”Qin Gengxin! What's wrong with you?”

”Qin Gengxin!” She raised her hand and touched his forehead. She could feel the warmth in her hand. She then raised her hand to touch her forehead and compared it with her own temperature.

Qin Gengxin had fainted from drunkenness.

Xian Guiying sighed and helped him up. Luckily, the car was parked on the side of the road and was nearby, so she helped him walk to the car. She opened the car door and pushed him inside.

Qin Gengxin fell straight into the back seat.

Xian Guiying gritted her teeth in anger and looked at him, ”Consider that I paid my debt from a previous life!”

As she spoke, she slammed the car door shut, turned around, opened the door to the driver's seat, and entered.

Originally, she wanted to send Qin Gengxin to the hotel, but after searching through his body for a long time, she couldn't find any identification ID or wallet. In the end, she had no choice but to take him back to her temporary apartment.

As she entered the house, Qin Wenqian was sitting on a small chair in the study, playing with some blocks. When she heard the door open, she ran out excitedly, ”Mommy, I'm building a little house!”
