Chapter 634 - Did She Call You At The Apartment (1/2)

”Qianqian, don't you remember daddy?” Qin Gengxin walked over and looked at his daughter, who was lying on Xian Guiying's shoulder. Qin Wenqian didn't even look at him when she heard his words. She just turned her head away as if she hadn't heard him.

The smile on Qin Gengxin's face became bitter. He never thought that it was not only Xian Guiying who wouldn't want anything to do with him but also his daughter.

”Mommy, I want yogurt.”

There was a small stall outside the residential complex that Qin Wenqian liked to go to, so she hugged Xian Guiying's neck while asking for it.

Before Xian Guiying could say anything, Qin Gengxin headed straight to the stall. He bought yogurt as fast as he could and handed it to Xian Guiying. She didn't take it.

”Qianqian, here is your yogurt!” With a smile, Qin Gengxin pierced the yogurt lid with a straw and handed it to her daughter.

Qin Wenqian was just looking at the yogurt in front of her but did not take it.

”You don't like this taste? Daddy will buy you another one.” A smile was plastered on his face all the time. Regardless of whether he and Xian Guiying had difficulty getting along, when it came to children, Qin Gengxin never thought of hurting them.

He can't bear to think about it and last year, Qin Wenqian's illness nearly cost her, her life. How could he not be willing to give his daughter unconditional fatherly love?

”Take this first. Daddy will buy you other flavors and everything that you want. You can drink whatever you like.” With that, Qin Gengxin put the yogurt into Qin Wenqian's hands.

Qin Wenqian, however, did not accept it. Instead, she hugged Xian Guiying's neck tightly and buried her face in it. She didn't take the yogurt, nor did she look at Qin Gengxin.

Qin Gengxin's hands froze as he looked at the child's instinctive rejection and disgust towards him. His expression gradually stiffened.

Xian Guiying looked at him coldly. ”My daughter won't accept gifts from strangers. Don't waste your time.”

As she spoke, she extended her hand to stop the cab.

Qin Gengxin could only feel a parched throat. He looked at the side of her face and said firmly, ”Guiying, you can't do this.”

Xian Guiying suddenly laughed before she got in the car. Without looking at him, she casually said, ”Can't do what? Mr. Qin, are you saying that I can't stand by Wei Zhengsheng's side, or I can't let my daughter push you away?”

She looked at him with a smile before she got into the cab. ”Sometimes life really needs a lot of reflection. So if you think about it, I did go the wrong way in the beginning and I already got the punishment. You have the heart to wait for Bai Nuying, I have the heart to be with Wei Zhengsheng.  In fact, we should learn to take a step back to enjoy the scenery around us. Perhaps life won't be so hard as it is now. Qin Gengxin, think it through.”

With that, she got into the car, closed the door, and told the driver to drive.

Even though the car was already far away, Qin Gengxin still saw Qin Wenqian sitting in the car with her head turning away from him. She didn't even want to look at him.

”Brother Gengxin!”

Just as Qin Gengxin was about to leave, he heard a voice that should not have been heard in this place.

He turned and saw a pink figure pounced on him. Before he could see the person in front of him clearly, he had been exposed to the smell of sweet perfume.

”I finally found you!” Bai Nuying's smile widened.

Qin Gengxin frowned and slowly pushed her away. He stepped back. ”Why are you here?”
