Chapter 608 - The Disappearance (2/2)

Qin Gengxin forced himself to stand up after he said that. As he moved his legs, the stabbing pain in his stomach caused him to frown. He restrained himself and insisted on walking towards the ward door.

Thirty-two years.

He, Qin Gengxin, had lived for thirty-two years and had never been so strong or defeated in his entire life.

Even back then when he was facing Jiang Ruolan's and Xian Zihao's marriage, even when he was faced with many ruthless things until he needed to give up,  he never once felt the pain like this.

Wu Boqin didn't insist this time, and he just watched as Qin Gengxin struggled to move his legs. Every step was very heavy, his face was pale, and his aching body had lost weight over the last few days.

Wu Boqin frowned and wanted to say something, but seeing Qin Gengxin's unusual expression, he actually couldn't open his mouth.

All the scenes of the past eleven years passed before Qin Gengxin's eyes, from the beginning of his acquaintance with Xian Guiying to their intimate friendship, to his indifference to the secret confrontation at the wedding ceremony, to Qin Wenqian's small body crawled into his arms when she called to him in a soft voice, ”Daddy...Daddy.”

Qin Gengxin's face turned pale, his pale lips pursed. He finally walked to the ward door and took the door handle, pulling it open.

”Old Qin.”

At first, Wu Boqin was considering how he could stop Qin Gengxin's reckless behavior in the current situation. However, when Qin Gengxin stepped out of the ward, he seemed to end up on his knees due to exhaustion.

Wu Boqin stepped forward to help him, but Qin Gengxin pushed him away and leaned against the cold wall. His hands still gripping the death certificate, his eyes were focused on the white wall in front of him and his knuckles turned a ghastly bluish-white.

When Qin Gengxin finally arrived at the Central hospital, it was already the sixth day since he got the death certificate from Wu Boqin.

All this time, he had called Xian Zihao. It wasn't until Xian Zihao came to visit Qin Gengxin that he found out about what had happened to him recently.

Xian Zihao explained the situation, but the only thing he said was that Xian Guiying had hidden the truth from everyone and left H City, even submitting a resignation letter.

He had even checked Xian Guiying's bank card usage records and entry and exit records, but she did everything smoothly as she left. On the day she left, she had transferred some money from her bank account, so no one knew what bank card she was using now and it was definitely not easy to find out.

Clearly, apart from the two brothers, Wei Shanyuan and Wei Zhengsheng, no one else knew where she was and no one knew where Qin Wenqian's body was buried.

Xian Zihao knew that his sister had been heartbroken with the Xian Family, Qin Gengxin, and her daughter's death, and that's why he's so worried about her. Her collapse was due to all the injustices she suffered and because of that, she decided to disappear before their eyes forever.

Because Xian Zihao understood his sister very well, he stopped trying to find her and instead comforted the Xian Family, asking them to give her time.

When Xian Zihao mentioned the evidence of Qin Wenqian's death, Qin Gengxin's calmness was terrifying.

Xian Zihao said that maybe he should give Xian Guiying some time to calm down. Even though he already knew the reason why Qin Gengxin didn't see his daughter before she died, he kept telling him that there was no point in saying anything because it had all gotten to this point. When Qin Wenqian's death certificate was handed over to him, the fighting had come to a complete halt.

Xian Zihao told Qin Gengxin to recover well. With Xian Guiying's personality, even if she wanted to sever all ties with the Xian Family and others,  that was her choice and she wouldn't do something that will hurt herself.

He told him not to worry too much and that the time would pass slowly.

Qin Gengxin understood Xian Zihao. They had been friends for more than ten years, so naturally, he could feel that no matter what he had done to Xian Guiying over the last two years, even if there was understanding in Xian Zihao's eyes, he (Xian Zihao) still supported his sister's plan.

Even when Xian Zihao said this, Qin Gengxin knew that he was hiding something from him.
