Chapter 575 - There’s No Need To Let Your Imagination Go Wild (2/2)

Xian Guiying pouted and sat on the bed. She lifted the blanket and went inside. Then she rolled to the other side of the bed with her eyes closed. She didn't want to give the blanket to him.

Qin Gengxin looked at her rare childish action with a smile. He grabbed an empty glass, walked to the door, and opened it.

The Old Woman stood by the door. When the door opened, she was startled for a moment. She quickly stood up and smiled at her grandson. ”You're still awake?”

Qin Gengxin raised his eyebrows. The Old Woman was standing at an angle that allowed her to see Xian Guiying, who had gone to bed. She then looked back to Qin Gengxin. He seemed perfectly normal, with only his lower body wrapped in a towel.

”Ah, the flush valve on the toilet in my room seems broken. I just went to the toilet in the other room and passed by.” The Old Woman casually explained and did not intend to leave right away. She looked at the bed and said, ”She's asleep? Since she's already sleeping, I won't bother her anymore.”

Qin Gengxin smiled. ”Then you should go to bed early.”

With that, he closed the door and placed the empty glass back on the table. When he looked at the bed, Xian Guiying was already crawling out from under the blanket and staring at him with a judgmental look.

Qin Gengxin remained silent and stared back at her. There was an emotion in his eyes, and that emotion was very natural, so natural that her hand, which was still holding onto the blanket, loosened a little.

He then pulled the blanket over himself and lay on the side of the bed, sharing the blanket with her. At the same time, he whispered, ”There's no need to let your imagination go wild.”

”I do not imagine anything. My mind is in a mess and today is the first time in my life I've seen someone trying to eavesdrop on us outside the door. It feels really weird.” Xian Guiying spoke in a low voice as she told him the truth. Afterward, she gently moved to the side and kept a distance away from him.

Sensing her soft movements, Qin Gengxin didn't say anything. He had just picked up a magazine she had read before, and since it was a business magazine, he started reading it. As he read, he said, ”You can go to sleep.”

They had known each other for eleven years and had been husband and wife for two years. Other than that night when he was drunk, they had never shared the same bed together. This kind of married life, which was far too real, had actually made Xian Guiying, who was used to the cold and hostile relationships, feel at ease and not panic.

Qin Gengxin read the magazine seriously under the light of the bedside lamp. Xian Guiying only looked at him for a moment before she lay on her back and covered herself with a blanket. She turned around with her back facing him and closed her eyes.

The bedroom was very quiet, with only the occasional sound of flipping through the pages of a magazine.

When Qin Gengxin turned to the next page, he saw a photo of himself on it. Usually, he didn't read a lot of magazines, but he knew that because of his identity, the PR department often spreads some positive news to the media, consolidating his reputation. He didn't think about it at first, but when he looked around the room, he saw there were some old magazines on the small shelf next to the edge of the bed.

Eighty percent of these magazines had news about him or even interviews with the higher-ups of Qin Corporation.
