Chapter 556 - When Did I Ever Say That I Would Show Up And Then Disappear (1/2)

Xian Guiying never had the habit of living in memories. However, Qin Gengxin in front of her eyes looked exactly the same as Qin Gengxin, who had been separated from her for years.

She didn't know if he noticed her gaze, but he didn't look up at her. He just lowered her head to look at the wound on her arm, carefully applying for the medicine.

Although Qin Gengxin was a grown man, being unruly in many aspects, he still had a caring side. However, as he grew older and more experienced, he naturally suppressed that side very much.

After helping her with the medicine, Qin Gengxin looked at the gauze that Darna had given to him and said, ”Although the wound is very large, but it is only at the base of the skin. Always apply for the medicine on it and don't let the wound become infected.”

Darna nodded and put the gauze away.

He still didn't look into Xian Guiying's eyes and then stared at her leg. Qin Gengxin bent down to pull her leg and lifted it.

Seeing her ankles red and swollen, he asked with a frown, ”How did you fall? With your swelling, I don't think you need to go to work for a week.”

”Probably because I sat too long by the window and didn't pay attention to my posture when I got up. My body twisted a little because of numbness.” Xian Guiying didn't stop him from examining her ankle.

In front of the former Qin Gengxin, she would reveal her childish and quiet side. The little woman's side would only appear in front of him. After all, it's been years since she had experienced such a reaction. With a swollen and sore ankle in his hand, her voice subconsciously became softer.

Thus, Qin Gengxin turned around and glanced at her.

Qin Gengxin's gaze flickered as he shifted his gaze, telling Darna to bring Xian Guiying's sandals that she had left when she fell by the French window. He then got up and said, ”You rest. I initially bought some toys for Qianqian. As soon as I entered the house, I was scared by you.”

While talking, he turned around and head out to pick up something from the car.

However, Xian Guiying suddenly stood up. Because her ankle sprained badly, she could not follow him, so she stood where she was while holding back the pain  and looked at his figure. ”What Qianqian needs is not a moment of warmth, but a long period of fatherly love. If you can't give it to her, then don't give her too much hope.”

Qin Gengxin's footsteps stopped. After a few moments of silence, he turned his head to look at her indifferently and said in a lukewarm tone, ”When did I ever say that I would show up and then disappear?”

After speaking, he shifted his gaze away from her and walked out.

”Mommy ~” Although Qin Wenqian wanted to stick to her father, she knew that her mother's injuries hurt a lot, so she obediently stood beside Xian Guiying and wrapped her arms around her uninjured leg. She raised her head and asked, ”Mommy, are you hurt?”
