Chapter 550 - Thank You For Not Disappointing My Daughter (2/2)

Qin Gengxin stopped walking, then turned his head sideways and softly replied, ”Okay.”

Then he stepped out.

Looking at the empty room,  Xian Guiying let out a long sigh. She silently looked in the direction he had disappeared. All she could think about was how Qin Gengxin had hugged and pampered his daughter. She knew that it was impossible for Qin Gengxin not to like children, but she always thought he hated them.

But from the looks of it, he liked Qin Wenqian. She was naturally related to him by blood, after all.

Will her marriage change because of this morning? Xian Guiying had passed the age of fantasy, but it's been a long time since Qin Gengxin talked to her in a calm way. It's been a long time since she felt that kind of warmth.

Perhaps this was not enough to be called warmth, but after two years of ignoring it, avoiding, or seeing each other and having a mutual hatred towards each other, what happened today was already enough to cause her cold and numb heart to be melted.

The ice wall that had surrounded her heart was instantly destroyed.

It was because Qin Gengxin liked their daughter, and it was because Qin Gengxin was indulgent and gentle at that moment.

That was the patience and gentleness that Xian Guiying had not enjoyed with him for many years.

After helping Qin Wenqian wash up, Darna dressed her in a very cute pink dress with a small bow. Qin Wenqian ran towards Qin Gengxin, who had just walked over to the dining room and threw herself at his legs.

Qin Gengxin had just finished changing his clothes. Fortunately, this house used to be his residence, and although he hadn't returned for two years, many of the clothes from the previous years were still here, and their style wasn't outdated, still very appropriate. He looked at the small things that pounced on him as he buttoned his shirt.

Qin Gengxin chuckled and immediately picked up Qin Wenqian to his arms.

Qin Wenqian wrapped her arms around his neck and rubbed her face against him. But halfway through it, she quickly withdrew her head and stared at his face with a surprised expression before slowly touching it. ”Eh? Daddy's face is not as smooth as mommy's.”

”Daddy's face, of course, isn't as smooth as mommy's.” Dalisay placed the last plate of breakfast on the table and said with a smile. ”Because daddy is a man and has a stubbled. Even if he shaved, when you rub your face against him, it won't be smooth as mommy's.”

”What is a stubbled?” Qin Wenqian blinked her big eyes as she stared at Qin Gengxin.

Qin Gengxin smiled and sat down on the chair. He held Qin Wenqian on his lap and held her small hand to his chin while caressing. ”This is stubbled.”

”No!” Qin Wenqian pouted as she stared unblinkingly at his chin. ”Why is daddy's face isn't clean?”

Just as Qin Gengxin was thinking about how to answer his daughter's question, Xian Guiying walked over and immediately placed a glass of milk in front of Qin Wenqian. ”Drink milk first. Daddy has to go to work for a while and will only have time to accompany you in the evening. Don't disturb daddy in the early morning.”

Qin Wenqian was stunned for a moment. When she heard that her father was going to leave, there was a shock in her eyes. Qin Gengxin took the glass of milk and glanced at Xian Guiying. She also glanced at him before turning her head away slightly and sitting in the seat beside him.

Dalisay and Darna stood by the table, smiling as they placed the breakfast in front of them. Their eyes were filled with anticipation for the couple.
