Not long after that, the military green jeep stopped in front of a hotel on the west side of the city. Senior Zhou also got off of the jeep after both of them.

Xian Zihao said a few polite words to Senior Zhou on the surface before helping Jiang Ruolan enter the hotel. They both didn't care about Senior Zhou's actions and just asked the staff to get the room for them.

Jiang Ruolan was actually not particularly cold. It was just that the spring in G City was much colder than H City. In addition, she was also drenched in the rain. Xian Zihao was worried she would catch a cold, so he immediately asked her to take a hot shower in the bathroom.

After Jiang Ruolan took a hot shower and changed into dry clothes, a hotel staff suddenly knocked on the door.

Xian Zihao opened the door. The room service staff was standing outside the door. He nodded to them politely, ”I'm sorry for disturbing you two. Mr. Zhou Yang has booked a private room and was asking you both to join the meal with him.”

Xian Zihao glanced at the room service staff and said thank you before closing the door.

Jiang Ruolan, who had already put on her clothes, walked over and said, ”Senior Zhou's pestering methods are really persistent. I was still wondering why he followed us here, it seems he was planning this.”

Xian Zihao remained silent for a moment before saying softly, ”He probably invited someone else as well.”

When Jiang Ruolan heard this, she said, ”Doesn't that mean he really plans to do something?”

Xian Zihao said nothing. He walked to the French window and looked towards the parking lot.

Jiang Ruolan thought for a moment, ”How about we go take a look? Senior Zhou obviously has a lot of power. If we don't go, we will be the ones to be in trouble.”

”If you don't want to, I can handle it.” Xian Zihao turned around and said gently.

”I'm fine. It's almost noon. If someone is treating me a free meal, why would I refuse?”

Jiang Ruolan actually didn't want to interact too much with Senior Zhou, and she could vaguely guess who else he had invited to the feast. But right now, she didn't want to guess who the other person was, and she didn't want to think too much about it.

Once they were both ready, they rode a private elevator to the bamboo room floor under the guidance of room service staff. When the bamboo room door was politely opened by the staff, Jiang Ruolan's footsteps immediately stopped.

She saw Senior Zhou sitting in a corner of the table, while Jiang Guanyu and Zhan Lian both sat in front of him. They seemed to have just arrived and been chatting politely with Senior Zhou.

”Are you going to help us? Commissioner Zeng has been looking after Bingqing. Honestly, I had just lost all hope, but who knew that I would receive a call from you, Senior Zhou? It seems that you are inviting someone else to this feast too?”

Jiang Ruolan happened to hear this from Jiang Guanyu.
