Jiang Ruolan looked around before asking, ”How did you know I was here?”

”Nonsense, I got someone to book your ticket, how could I not know that you're here?” Qin Gengxin crossed his hands over his chest and leaned against the door of the car.

He was looking at Jiang Ruolan's dark face with an indifferent expression, ”What? You took my ID card and ran off on your own. Now, you don't dare to face me?”

Jiang Ruolan was so embarrassed when he mentioned that. She lowered her head, took out her wallet, pulled out Qin Gengxin's ID and passed it to him. ”There. I'll give it back to you.”

Qin Gengxin scoffed. He took the identity card and put it in his pocket. He then nodded to the side with his chin, signaling her to get in the car.

”Stop standing there. I'm here to pick you up!” Seeing that Jiang Ruolan was still standing there motionless, Qin Gengxin looked at her in disgust, as if he was looking at a fool. ”Get in the car quickly.”

Didn't he come to see Xian Guiying?

Why was he here to pick her up?

Jiang Ruolan raised her head to look at Qin Gengxin.

On the highway back to the city, Jiang Ruolan would glance back at Qin Gengxin, who was driving. It was probably because she was a bit too deliberate, he caught her sneaking glance at him.

”What are you looking at?” Qin Gengxin turned his head and looked at Jiang Ruolan with a strange expression in his eyes.

”What's your relationship with Xian Guiying?” she asked.

”Xian Guiying? What can Guiying and I have to do with each other? She's Zihao's sister.” He replied indifferently, and then curiously asked her, ”You know Guiying?”

Jiang Ruolan almost bit her tongue. ”Even though I work in the media and in the Ministry of Commerce, I am still in the same circle of people. The famous CEO of Xian's Enterprise, there shouldn't be no one who hasn't heard of her before, right?”

Qin Gengxin was smiling at her, but he didn't say anything else.

It seemed that he didn't like to talk about Xian Guiying at all, thus, he quieted down.

Jiang Ruolan couldn't help but turn her head and stare at him, ”I just saw her waiting for you in the parking lot. I thought you were here to send her off.”

”She went back to the United States today, and she called me when I was on my way to the airport, so I dropped her off.” He replied.

Originally, with a woman's gossiping nature, Jiang Ruolan was still secretly guessing if there was some secret between the two of them. However, seeing Qin Gengxin's feelings for Xian Guiying only as a ”sister to his best friend,” it didn't seem like there was something between them at all.

After reaching the city, Qin Gengxin seemed to have something to do, so he left as soon as he sent Jiang Ruolan to the company. On the way, she received a call from the office.
