”actually I enjoy the hunt. I want to work for a lady. Someone with a good head on her shoulders.” He explained while he shimmied closer to her. Was he putting the moves on her?
”Yeah, real funny.” Harumi said while she pushed him back in his seat. She knew how he thought about her and she knew he wouldn't try to bed her, he was very clear about that.
”Nohime! I just heard, are you alright?” Hidemasa yelled while he barged in the room. He was startled to see Nobunaga in his wife's quarters and came to a screeching halt. Nobunaga was as surprised as Hidemasa to see another man enter these quarters. It wasn't forbidden or anything but it wasn't exactly normal. He felt a weird feeling in his stomach by seeing the concerned look on the face of one of his warlords. Why was he so concerned about his wife?
”Nobunaga-sama, what a suprise to run into you here.” Hidemasa said quickly while making a bow.
”He just came to check up on me.” Harumi said before Nobunaga could say anything.
”Are you okay?” Hidemasa asked her with a concerned look on his face.
”You should've seen the other one.” Harumi joked. Midemasa's concerned look made way for his normal easy going smile.
”Since you are buzzy here...” Hidemasa began to excuse himself.
”Nonsense, join us.” Harumi said in a stern voice.
Hidemasa sat down some what awkwardly across from Harumi and Nobunaga. Harumi called for her maids who brought her new guest some tea and left again.
”So what is this?” Nobunaga asked after the maids left. Harumi could clearly hear the anger in his voice.
”Lord Nobunaga-sama, I would never betray you or do anything indecent.” Hidemasa spoke immediately.
”We are just friends.” Harumi said in a bored tone.
”And what do you normally talk about?” Nobunaga grilled them.
”Well, normally he just comes and whines about that the other warlords don't have fate in him and we study war books.” Harumi answered.
”And why should I believe this?” Nobunaga asked still angry.
”Because it is the truth!” Hidemasa squealed. Without giving an answer Nobunaga called for Harumi's maids to bring them some writing tools.
”If it is true what you say, you two can easily decide what the best course of action is in this type of offense from the enemy.” He said eventually while he pushed two pieces of paper to Hidemasa and Harumi. Harumi looked at the thing Nobunaga had drawn on the paper. It was a very good and intricate battle plan. She grabbed a brush and began to add the defense while Hidemasa did the same on his paper. Harumi didn't have the feeling as if she had to prove to be innocent but instead was given a test about a subject she liked. The way she looked at it, there was a lot of mathematics someone would need to come up with a good battle plan.
