48 I don’t feel anything. (2/2)

Just because Lu Jian was attracted to her; she can't snatch him like a trophy without giving a thought to the previous owner of this body.

She knows that she has some bad qualities but she was not thankless to the person who saved her life. Whatever the scenario was before while Zoru decided to bring her here as a replacement but this was a fact that she has taken the other girl's life and fate, probably her love too. She can't help but be sad for her.

She was not thankful to neither Zoru nor her other half of the soul because of their sacrifice or something because they brought her here because they needed her. Zhen Xiu knew that it was an even deal but the little innocent girl in her heart who was suppressed for so long felt the original Xiu's pain.

”No, it was not like that per se. I accept that I was not attracted to you so I really was not affectionate towards you but this doesn't mean that I didn't like you as a person. You were a nice girl. Your love towards me was something I respected but was not able to reciprocate because our feelings were not mutual.” Lu Jian told her about his inner thoughts.

He was telling her the reason for his indifference. He wanted to explain himself.

”If you were even a bit dangerous for me or anything related to me then, trust me, I would not hesitate to kill you. I was indifferent towards you was not something strange because this is my nature. I am like this with everybody. You were not special.”

”I didn't want to give you any false hope just because we were married to each other. I never felt anything for you in the past two years of our marriage. You were just an acquaintance for me.” He told her everything truthfully without hiding anything in his heart.

He knew that it may create some misunderstandings in the future if their feelings were not clear to each other.

Everything that Lu Jian said didn't bring any major effect on Zhen Xiu because originally she didn't feel anything for him in the first place. She just wanted to understand him and bring the previous soul a closure.

Lu Jian was expecting that she would burst out in anger after she heard his true thoughts regarding her, he waited and waited for a while but nothing came. He sighed thankfully.

”What? You are not angry with me?” He asked carefully; although this situation was like a ticking time bomb they need to communicate better with each other to make their bond stronger.

Zhen Xiu was busy mourning for the original when she heard Lu Jian's skeptical voice.

”Nah, honestly I don't feel anything.” She told him.

Lu Jian expected her to be angry, sad and even hating him but this reaction hurt him the most; her indifference to his doubts regarding their relationship.

He knew there will come a day that she would not listen to him and will leave him after knowing his thinking about her.

After all who will tolerate a man who treated you as an acquaintance in your two years of marriage and suddenly was head over heels for you when you loved him completely?
