Xiu pouted but still controlled her urges to flatter Zoru.

Xiu huffed but still conceded in defeat. She turned and shook Lu Jian trying to gauge his reaction.

Since he is already suspicious of me I won't say anything to clear it. Let it remain vague.

”You woke up.” Lu Jian asked.

Xiu nodded. ”Why are you here?”

”Isn't it obvious? I am here for you.” Lu Jian said in his ice cold voice. He was slightly annoyed to see her reaction after all he has waited for her to wake up the entire night.

”I am your husband it is my responsibility.”

Xiu raised her eyes and gave him a look. But Lu Jian didn't avert his eyes once.

”Oh! Really? Or you were wondering that I may run somewhere after all you are accusing me of fraud.”

”Stop it now. You need to rest well.” His ice cold voice filled with concern surprised Xiu.

”Lu Jian can I ask you a question?”

Lu Jian nodded. Xiu rolled her eyes at the man who treasured his words like gold.

”If you think that I am not your original wife then why would you give me a chance? I am not saying that I am not her because more than you it is my wish that I am not her but we can't fight fate.”

Xiu said and had a faraway look in her eyes.
