44 A busy day (2/2)

On the otherhand Cheska had a pained and conflicted look on her face.

”Cheska if you are having a difficulty in suppressing your desire for unclean food, you can have this.” Madel flicked her finger and a fruit box appeared. It has a different set of fruits and per usual it was arranged in an exquisite manner.

Although she was touched by her thoughtfulness she also laughed within herself.

[if she pursued her career in becoming an entrepreneur she might get rich.] Cheska thought. Madel knew how to take each opportunity to help them with her merchandise. Surprisingly, she knows when to offer her services and she comes prepared.

”I will join in a group mission tomorrow, who would like to join?” Henry said after they eere done discussing the manual.

”What kind of mission?” Cheska said.

”Nothing much, just the usual. We will treat a patient. It allows four members and above.”

”Huh? Treating a patient? With four or more members? Isn't that too many?” Cheska asked.

”Usually when we need to treat a patient one is enough to complete the mission.” Helen explained it to Henry. ”You see, one of the qualifications to graduate is to complete this missions.” She flicked her fingers and a booklet appeared in her hand.

It included 20 minor operation, 20 major operation, 100 level one cases, 50 level two cases, 20 level three cases and 10 level four case. Level one are minor cases such as flu, rhinits, abdominal pain, level two cases are more complicated diseases, level three are much more complicated cases and level four cases are close to unsolvable cases. They usually have multiple organ failure, multiple co-morbid condition, or dying.

Helen explained all of it to Francis. He nodded, but at the back of his mind he was thinking about the medical treatment in their planet. A patient simply needs to lay down inside a machine and computer would assess her over all function. The machine will decide on what measures are needed and it will automatically address the problem. Usually when there is a physical problem the machine will simply realign atoms, protons or neutrons or realign molecules to rebuild a cell or a tissue. When there is a missing flesh or body part, the system will analyze the size of the body part which needs to be replaced. Quantum grafting is the process where the donated molecules or atoms are added to the main body. Through complex programming the machine connects each atom to form molecules, molecules to form proteins, cells, tissues, organs and so on.

Machines used to treat patients have different versions. The high-end machines are as small as sticks containing extra atoms for grafting. The healing pod are used in most establishments.

”Hey your dozing off” Helen gave him a slap at the back.

”There are no physicians back in planet Hilan.” He said.

Henry briefly explained the situation and they were shocked. The mission offers a thousand points as a reward. Even Madel was tempted to renege on her words.

”unbelievable.” Helen blurted.

”are you sure Henry?” Cheska asked.

each treating mission gives one point for each patient.
