39 Reminiscing the pas (2/2)
”I need someone to organize the conclusion of the selection process for interscholastic competition. But ever since we were attacked by the shadows students were reluctant to approach me”
”us” Cheska emphasized.
”Us. I'm having trouble mobilizing people.”
”Don't worry, I will become your over all coordinator.”
Henry was feeling hesitant to ask her at first. Cheska can be very scary sometimes. She was strict like her mother, wise like her grandfather, and has outstanding leadership skills.
Being able to handle the plots of concubines, step sister's and scheming relatives, she was indeed the ideal wife. Not to mention her good looks. Her beauty alone could capture the hearts of many.
Cheska's foresight was faster than her heart. She knows that becoming an organizer of school event's without maid servants would be difficult even more so that students are avoiding them now.
[tsk. A good woman decides based on her heart and mind.tsk. I should use my mind more often. This is definitely martyrdom] Cheska felt helpless again. Her concern for Henry was above her comfort.
Despite her rationalization, her heart was secretly clapping. Becoming an organizer would mean that she would be with Henry more often.
”Thank you so much Cheska. I know I can count on you.” Henry was elated. He immediately asked Cheska to follow him to the School councils meeting for planning. He instructed Madel and Helen to prepare the soil for herb garden if they have time.
”I need to finish concocting pills today. I need to go.” Madel excused herself. Given her low spiritual power she was having a difficult time in concocting pills.
Helen looked at Francis and gave her a snobbish look.
”I am going to practice my dance, bye” She immediately turned her back but Francis caught her wrist. She looked back. That time their eyes met. It felt like the time stood still. The petals of flowers hanging on the luscious vines on the centree dropped slowly while the breeze gently blew Helen's skirt and hair.
[lub dub, lub dub] His heart moved differently that time.
That scene was extremely familiar to him. It was just like the time when he met the only woman he liked.
Reminiscing his past, he remembered being surrounded by shiny floor tile, bright light, clear stealth in a glass form. His wrist felt a soft and warm sensation. Looking back he was mesmerized by the beauty of his long time best friend, Helen. His heart moved differently back then as well. What a coincidence, they have the same name.
