15 Knowing more about them (1/2)

Madel flicked her hands and four fruit boxes appeared. It was like a treasure box. The fruits were aesthetically arranged that it was a shame to eat it.

”I came from planet Hilan” Francis continued.

”how did you get here?” Cheska asked with interest.

”I don't know either, the last thing I remember was my parents were killed in their own research laboratory. I was back at home. I did not know whether I died that time and was transported here.” He said.

They talked for a while and introduced themselves to each other.

”I am Henry Fulinhar 18 years old, I am living with my grandfather, in western villa.” He said shortly.

”He is the richest man in the entire Jilai Country perhaps even in the entire continent.” Cheska added with a carefree tone.

”I am not.” Henry said while rolling his eyes.

”I am Madel Matisse, 17 years old, an orphan, quirkless with no zhenqi, and I live in the forest.” Madel said.

”I am the Cheska York, 18 years old, the eldest legitimate daughter in the clan of York I live in south western villa.” She said.

Francis was not able to visualize the gravity of their introduction or what that meant. Based from his multicultural subjects he learned that traditional worlds gave a deep historical background so he waited for them to explain further.

Cheska with her deep insight understood the meaning of the situation. She started to explain their status in life.

”Cities are divided into eight villa, those who live in the western villa and near it are from the richest clans, and those who live in the northern villa are the poorest clan. The people who live in the sides of the forest are mostly orphans or out casted people. Since this world is a world of cultivators, each clan was a special heritage or cultivation technique. Francis was used to hearing different practices from different races. So he was not that surprised to hear a world practicing polygamy.

Henry was surprised to see the dubious look on Francis face when they mentioned about polygamy.

”I'm a gay Francis, don't ever think that I will marry a girl, more so a harem.” Henry said while he was smiling.

Francis almost smiled as well with his thoughts.

”If I will marry a girl, one is enough. Someone who can understand me.” Henry added.

Cheska immediately caught his words and her heart pounded. Henry has always commented that she was a marriageable type. She wanted to believe that he was his choice but his actions speaks differently.

Madel acted as if she is not interested.She must not. She was way below his status. There was no way that he would choose her. There was a minute of awkward silence.
