29 Make a Guess (1/2)
”Are you upset with me, Stella?” Ivano's question didn't cover the insecurity in his voice.
”I will be if you won't remove the locks you installed to all your doors.” I turned to face him with fisted hands.
His remorse instantly vanished and his face hardened. ”I can't. I'm sorry. I've waited for you for so long. I won't let you go again. You're mine!”
I sighed and sat beside him on the bed before giving him a peck on the lips. ”Ivano, take away the locks, I promised...”
BAM! BLAG! KABOOM!
”What was that?” I asked with wide eyes as I looked up at the ceiling where the sound came from.
”Don't mind it.”
The guilt and the obvious dismissal he showed just made me all the more curious. I stood and went out of the room.
”Stella! No!”
I walked faster and when I heard Ivano's hurried steps coming after me, I started to run. I climbed the stairs and searched for the room that's directly above the room I was using. Strange that it was the east wing Ivano prohibited me to go. Something's in there. He's hiding something from me. I was almost at the door when I suddenly smacked right into Ivano's broad hard chest.
”How did you...” I asked while clutching my nose that took the blow of the collision.
”I can move fast, silly.” He lightly knocked my head once before pushing me away from the door.
”I want to see what's inside the room, Ino! What kind of relationship do we have if you're only lying to me and keeping me in the dark!”
Ivano crouched down to haul me up over his shoulder before he glided along the hallway and down the stairs back into our bedroom. Even though I was awed at his ability to walk in the air, I still tried fighting him by flailing my limbs. But he gave me a smart slap over my bare ass that I suddenly stopped.
