85 The end of her (1/2)

Father has gone to where Victoria was being operated. He only left my side after he knew that my operation was a success and I was being transferred to my private room to recuperate.

Julia was seen sitting in one of the chairs crying. She had change from her bridal gown to a more casual dress. Brad was indifferent to her. He just stood there not even caring on soothing his crying wife.

”Father!” Julia saw father arriving from a distance. She ran towards him. ”What happened? Why is mother hurt and why are there police officers here?” Julia bombarded father many questions.

”Julia, did you know what your mother was up to?” Father have Julia a serious look.

”What do you mean father?” Julia gave a questioning look. ”I don't understand.”

”Your mother is a suspect in your sister's kidnapping and attempted murder.” Father said.

”That's impossible! Mother would never do such a thing. She's being set up. Please believe me father.” Julia was begging and crying he heart out.

”The evidence are all there Julia. You can't save your mother.” Father said. ”Are you part of this?” Father gave Julia a cold stare.

”Father how could I know all of this. Today was my wedding day. I don't know anything!” Julia was denying. ”How can you think of me like that father? I'm also your daughter.” Her cries worsened.

The light of the operating sign turned off and a doctor came out.

”Mayor Williams. Your wife is not in critical condition anymore. Luckily the bullet missed any vital organs. She lost blood but we have already transfused her.” The doctor explained.

”When can we talk to her doctor?” Father asked. ”The police are also waiting to question her. She is a suspect for my daughter's abduction.”

”Father why are you saying that again!” Julia was beginning to get hysterical. ”Mother is innocent. She can't do such a thing.”

Brad held Julia's body. ”Julia calm down. Don't embarrass yourself in front of others. Remember what surname your using right now.” He said with a fierce tone. Julia shivered in fear and became silent.

She knew about Brad's violent tendencies. This was also one of the reasons why Brad was brought to a different country. It was because he was under mental treatment and his family didn't want this news to be spread and bring shame to their family name. Brad is the sole heir to their family.

”The patient will regain consciousness after a few hours. She will be brought to her private room now and you can wait for her to wake up there.” The doctor explained.

After a few hours Victoria opened her eyes. She saw the fluorescent lights over head. She looked around and saw an IV drop hanging by her side which is connected to her wrists.

She moved a little and felt pain in her abdominal area. Then she remembered what happened.

'That bitch got me.' She thought to herself. 'How long was I out?'

When she moved her right hand she felt a cold metal object encircling it. When she looked she saw hand cuffs where worn in her hand and was attached to the bed. She tugged it and the rattle of the metal can be heard.

”You're awake.” A man's voice was heard.

Victoria scanned the room to find where the voice was coming from. Then in the far corner she saw Julian seating on a chair giving her a cold stare. She felt goosebumps.
