73 Truth (2/2)
”Hey lil bro. Did I do something wrong to that little princess of yours? Why is she always on guard everytime she talks to me. I don't bite you know.” Vinz said.
”Because your face is scary.” Vincent said harshly to his older brother.
”Nonsense! I even look more angelic than you!” Vinz said disapprovingly to his brother.
Vincent did not answer and went back to staring blankly, he is deep in thought.
Vinz could only sigh at his brothers indifference. ”Alright then, let me help you out of there. You are still weak. You still need to recuperate for a few more days.” Vinz opened the door and helped Vincent slowly and gently get up to his feet. He stumbled for a bit, fortunately Vinz caught him in time and helped him stabilize.
Vinz patiently helped his little brother as they slowly enter the house. The servants greeted them and offered their assistance but Vincent and Vinz declined their offer and continued to climbed up the stairs towards Vincent's room.
Once inside, Vinz ordered the butler to retrieve their baggage inside the car trunk and to send both of their meals upstairs. He also specified what food and refreshments should be prepared and what specific ingredients should he avoided.
The servants followed their young masters instructions and busied themselves. They are really worried about the second young master's condition but they all know their boundaries as servants so they can only do what the young master tells them to do. The second young master was still healthy when he left but now he looks weak and can't even stand properly on his own. They have several questions in their mind but they did not dare voice it out.
Meanwhile, inside Vincent's room. Vinz closed the door shut and locked it up before turning around to look at his younger brother. Vincent is staring intently at his mobile phone and he looks like he is contemplating whether he should turn it on or not.
Vinz swiftly moved towards his brother's bedside and unceremoniously lifted Vincent's left hand and felt his wrist.
”Why not just tell her the truth? Won't it be easier if you just open up and tell her the truth?” Vinz said this as he gently placed his brother's hand down. He then sat on the single sitter sofa chair near the bed.
”No, she cannot know about this. It is better for her to hate me then know the truth so she could move on more quickly.” Vincent said stubbornly.
”Lil bro, you are so full of yourself? What made you think that making her angry at you will make any difference? She is your friend and the love of your life. You should just cherish everything you have while--” Vinz throat suddenly felt soar once he thought of the words that he was about to say.
”I am selfish. I am aware of that. I want her to stay by my side but I am also keeping a distance away from her. I want her to love me but I also want her to hate me.” Vincent chuckled as he thought of how ridiculous he have become.
