131 Why Would You Lie? (2/2)
Carmen started laughing, her cheeks slightly flushed and she wiped some tears from her eyes. ”Your so cute I wasn't expecting this type of-of... of... oh... wow... hi... um I... cough.... hic... oh my G*d... hiccup, I have the hiccups! I can't belie-hic this!” She said as she flushed a deep red and hid her face with her hands. She moved apart some fingers so she could peak through the gaps. ”I-hiccup can't hic talk right hic now. Call hic later!” She said as her fingers started to turn red. She turned the camera away and soon a brown skinned, slightly built man was taking a bite of pizza. ”Pe-ma wut you doing?” He said as he swallowed his food.
Dexter clenched his jaw when he saw the other man. ”Sorry, sorry, I swear I was listening. Yes my prima is very, very, very single and she would love a date between her the blue eyed-! Aye! Aye! aye! I'm sorry but seeing you turn this red is so new and refreshing, I couldn't help but tease, aye p*ta it hurts! I swear I'm done making fun just let go of my arm already!” Gerson yelled as he tried to pry off Carmen's crimson fingers from under his upper arm. ”Sorry Carmen can't talk right now she seems to have found her femininity, Aye! Okay already! But how can I be of assistance in this particular matter?”
...
”So to some it up, you have people coming to pick us up and now we have to go on a mission to find a, a piece of jewelry? This is crazy, how can we even trust you and chase something that has what?! The same properties as the Holy Grail?!” Eli grabbed Olivia and snuggled her against his chest. ”I have no reason to lie to you or your cousin. I honestly do value Autumn's judgement on the two of you and think that you are the only ones who can do this.” A hand covered the camera and muffled voice could be heard. After a few moments, the hand was removed and Carmen appeared on the screen.
”We except your offer Mr. Delmira and will be more then happy to get the Holy Grail of jewelry back. I got a score to settle with that-ah.... oh... um.... Falicia and hope we can bring her to justice together.... I don't need extra money what you gave us is fine... I just want to be there when the babies are born... that's all.” Carmen said as she turned her gaze towards Gerson and fiddled with her fingers. Gerson face palmed himself and groaned as his cousin suddenly transformed into a shy school girl. ”And a date.”
Everyone present turned to face Dexter as he spoke his mind. Carmen squeaked when she heard the word date and forced herself to look directly into the camera. Dexter gulped causing his Adam's apple to move up and down. ”I want a date with you Ms. Marroquin. After everything has settled I mean.” Carmen's face flushed a even deeper shade of red Olivia thought that her blood vessels would pop from the pressure. She unconsciously nodded her head and Dexter started grinning from ear to ear. ”Fantastic!” Was all he could say before Carmen's eyes rolled back and she fainted.
Then someone knocked on the door. Gerson started to panic. ”Crap! Crap, crap, crapity crap, crap! I swear we are usually more professional then this. Look dreamy blue eyes get her number from Mr. Delmira, we will keep in touch once we find what we are looking for!” He said in a panic before he cut the connection. Felix started to laugh then Olivia couldn't hold it in either. ”She is so cute!” She said as she wiped away her tears. ”See I got some good eyes, dubbing you McDreamy Blue Eyes. It was completely appropriate.” Felix said as he held onto the bathroom frame.
Dexter brought his big hand upwards and swept his golden strawberry blonde hair back. The pink hue never left his cheeks as he kept grinning like a fool. Eli grabbed Olivia's hand and gently messaged the back of it with his thumb. ”With this I think your curse will be broken.” Olivia froze and she turned to look at Eli. Her mouth moved up and down but no words came out. Eli waited patiently as she swallowed back saliva to moisten her throat. ”You believed me?” She asked awkwardly but Eli turned her hand over and kissed her palm while looking her square in the eyes. ”Why would you lie?”
Olivia could feel her knees go weak but Eli quickly caught her. ”Felix can you go to the vending machine and get her a juice please?” Eli said as he quickly tried to fish out some change from his pocket. Dexter held up his hand and passed Felix a $5 bill. Felix reluctantly took the bill and stood rooted to his spot. ”You know the first steps in changing yourself is being true to yourself.” Dexter said as he walked over and placed a hand onto his shoulder. Felix hugged himself and trembled as he stared at his feet.
”What if people stare?” He whispered but it was so quiet in the room it might as well have been a roar. ”So what? One thing I learned about making sweets is some people love it, others hate it. What matters is what you believe in and the rest kinda falls in line.” Felix gave a small nod and lifted his head up. He took two steps forward and found that he wanted to hug himself just a little longer before he got enough nerve to walk out the door. ”You know pink suits you pretty well.” Dexter said, making Felix look back and give him a big smile. ”Sure does!” He said and went for the door. As soon as he stepped out, Eli lifted Olivia up and carried her over to the bed. ”You believed me and helped me.” Olivia started to whimper but Eli started to stroke her hair. ”I would believe anything you told me. Expect you telling me you don't love me or these babies aren't mine. Other then that I would believe you.”
Olivia wrapped her arms around his neck and quietly cried. ”Sakura's gone.” She whispered into his ear and snuggled up against his neck before more tears rolled down her cheeks. ”Now what do we do.” He asked as he started to embrace her back. ”Nothing for now.”
