615 Berserk Thunder City’s Librarian (1/2)

Everyone in Quan Zhen Sect stood up, shocking Berserk Thundergod and the rest. Despite being infamous for their bad temper, Berserk Heavenlaw silently kept their staffs.

If it was in the past, or against others, Berserk Heavenlaw definitely would not react this way. After all, using numbers to frighten others was large guilds' exclusive advantage. If a small guild was so arrogant, they would have been silenced hundreds of times.

However, Berserk Thundergod and the rest had fought alongside Quan Zhen Sect before. They knew how scary this bunch of people were, especially a top-notch like Wang Yu. If they fought, they would be wiped out thoroughly in just one round.

Now that everyone has laid their cards on the table, no matter how scared Berserk Thundergod was, he would not back off. Luckily, Berserk Heavenlaw's reputation was still intact and they were in Berserk Heavenlaw's store. If word spread, he would not be able to uphold his reputation in Berserk Thunder City anymore.

Berserk Heavenlaw was defeated by others in their store? How embarrassing was that?

Could he explain that their enemy were all experts who could take on a dozen of people individually and that one could even take on dozens alone? No one would believe him and even if they did, it would be bad to show how he feared the strong and bullied the weak…

The atmosphere turned awkward.

”Boss Fearless, this is just Heavenlaw's temper, you know that they don't mean it like that. Thundergod, sit down, don't embarrass yourself any further.” Just then, a blue robe Magician came out to mediate, motioning for Berserk Heavenly Thunder to sit down.

The blue-robed Magician was Moonless Thunder, the vice-Boss of Berserk Heavenlaw. Berserk Heavenly Thunder had a bad temper and did not think through his actions. Seeing how his own vice-Boss gave him a face-saving opportunity, he abided and quickly sat back down.

”Hehe.” Fearless ignored Berserk Thundergod and Moonless Thunder's actions, smiled lightly and said, ”Since Boss Thundergod refuses to pay in full, we shall take our leave.”

”What? You want to leave just like that?” Berserk Thundergod roared as he just paid 4500 gold coins. These lads were intending to escape after receiving the money. What did they treat him as to be able to do something so daring?

”Are you keeping us for dinner?” Fearless turned and asked jokingly.

Moonless Thunder said, ”Not that, Boss Fearless. You have taken our money, you owe us an explanation. Either leave the money behind or tell us the hint, or else we will think that you are out to cheat us. It would be bad if there is a misunderstanding. We can swallow our pride but can't let our tens of thousands of brothers to lose their faces too.”

Moonless Thunder was great with his words. He first used logic then threatened them subtly with the tens of thousands of people they had, being mannerly first, then used force. As compared to the reckless Berserk Thundergod, he was much better.

”Oh.” Fearless nodded, ”You are right. However, money that has entered Quan Zhen Sect's wallet cannot be returned without a valid reason.”

”Alright, then just tell us the hint, and we won't owe each other anymore.” Moonless Thunder said.

”500 gold coins!” Fearless reached out.

”Alright, alright, alright” Moonless Thunder turned back and told Berserk Thundergod, ”Give it to him, Thundergod.”

”Are you crazy, Moonless?” Berserk Thundergod exclaimed.

By now, it was no longer a matter of 500 gold coins. Regardless, Berserk Thundergod felt indignant to give Fearless the money so easily.

”Give it to him. You already gave him 4500, what's this 500 gold coins to buy him to speak!” Moonless Thunder sent him a direct message.

Now Quan Zhen Sect was holding on to 4500 gold coins from Berserk Heavenlaw. Another 500 gold coins and they would get the hint. If they don't pay the 500 gold coins, Quan Zhen Sect would keep the 4500 gold coins in exchange for nothing. So what if Berserk Heavenlaw wiped out Quan Zhen Sect? There was no way they would drop that 4500 gold coins. It was definitely not worth it to be stubborn over this.
