After chitchatting for a while, I finally asked the main question.

”Nee, Mio. Since you said that you came to rescue us, it means that you came here on a boat, right?”

”Yes, Nii-sama.”

”So, where is the boat right now?”

”Follow me, Nii-sama, Hanako Onee-chan.”

She leads us to a certain section of the beach. In front of our eyes lies a yacht of the same model Hanako and I came on. We're finally going home!

”Let's go home, Hanako!”

As we both got onto the yacht, Mio walked towards the captain's quarter and started to prepare for the return trip when suddenly,

A small explosion occurred at the end of the yacht. It seems that the engine blew up because of the intense usage.

”Nee, Mio.”

”...”

”You... don't happen to bring a spare engine, right?”

”...”

Mio stayed silent and looked at me with teary eyes.

”Uh... since it became this way... Welcome to the island, I guess?”

I said those words as I embraced her into my arms and consoled her. This marks the day our island gained a new inhabitant...
