65 Day III Part 1 (1/2)
If I had to describe what happened last night using the least word possible, I would summarize it to this one word: intense.
As intense as it may be, the cause of the 'event' caused us both to be quite awkward around each other.

”...”
Even though we were both awake, we just kept staring at each other inside the shelter. It's not as if we have nothing to talk about, but it's rather because the atmosphere is too awkward. We've been staring at each other for about ten minutes now. Occasionally, we would avert our eyes for no reason at all. Sigh... Why did we even eat that mushroom...
Since I know that it won't be good to be in this situation forever, I decided to speak up first.
”Uh... Hanako...”
”Y-Yes?!?!”
She replied in a flustered voice. Her cheeks had a shade of red creeping onto it slowly. Even her body is now twitching. Ah... This really is awkward, huh?
”Um... About last night...”
”W-Wha?!?!”
She immediately hid her face behind her shirt that she left on the ground after the 'event' last night. Ah!!! This is just too embarrassing!
”L-Let's just forget about it?”
I know what I just asked for was outrageous but if this situation keeps going on, I believe that we won't be able to do anything productive at all.
”...”
All of a sudden, her body stopped twitching. The colours on her cheeks gradually faded and her complexion gradually worsened.
”H-Hanako?”
Her eyes lost all the sparkle it used to have and her hands dropped down to the ground. Tears started to form at the corners of her eyes.
”In the end... You still don't care about me, huh Yuuji?”
”Hanako?”
”Even though we did that last night, you still acted as if nothing happened. How could you?”
While tears were streaming down her face, the rage that seemed to be concealed in the deepest part of her heart erupted all at once.
”Even though we did it so intensely last night, you still chose to throw me away? You're the worst, Yuuji!”
”Wait, Hanako! It's not what you're thinking!”
”Shut up! I don't want to hear any more of your excuses!”
”Just listen to me, Hanako!”
”No-”
Since it seemed that she won't listen to me, I pushed her down to the ground and told her my true feelings.
”It's true that I tried to act as if nothing happened!”
”However, it is because I was just trying to keep us moving forward! We can't just be awkward around each other all day, right?”
