Those words were the first ones I uttered when I woke up. Dang, I've always wanted to say that!

Haruto walked over to me. As he walked over, I started to inspect the environment around me. It seems like I'm in a small hospital room. I looked outside the window and saw that it is already night. The city lights are shining through the windows, illuminating part of the room. Wait... City Lights?

”Ah, After we rescued you from Mio, we took you off the island and into an inland hospital using my connections. Since the Kunai was only coated with a sleeping drug, we decided to give you a first aid and bring you to this hospital here.”

”Wait... we?”

Before he could finish his sentence, the door to my room burst open.

”Oi, plebian, move aside!”

Hanako came running up to me and embraced me as soon as she came through the door. Erika is standing at a distance behind her, not to disrupt the moment of our reunion. Through the thin hospital gown, I could clearly feel Hanako's trembling body.

She tightened her grasp around me as if she's not going to let me go again. I couldn't imagine the relief that she's feeling right now. Therefore, I decided to let her stay like this for a little bit longer. I reached out my hand to stroke her trembling head to calm her down. She looks just like a little kitten who needs protection right now... So cute...
