27 The Promise (1/2)
After the chaotic event, nothing really happened much. A few people approached Charlotte, but they all got shot down immediately, including girls. When they asked if she would like to have tea with them, she answered,
”No, thank you. That would reduce the time that I spend with Onii-chan.”
Maybe she's a little too obsessed with me...
But other than that, everything is actually quite normal. As expected, during English class, she showed an outstanding talent in the language. I mean, if she can't do that much, she wouldn't be considered an English girl, right?
At lunch, she came up to my desk.
”Yuuji Onii-chan, Ah~~~”
Yes, right now she is trying to feed me.
”Nee~ Charlotte, I-I don't think that this is appropriate... We're at school, you know?”
”No need to worry, Yuuji Onii-chan. My father already took care of everything. What I do will not cause trouble at all.”

This is an advantage of being rich, huh? Money can keep anyone's mouth shut... Why am I not surprised...
Luckily for me, before she tries to feed me any further, Hanako joined in on the conversation,
”Oi! Y-You can't do that to Yuuji! Don't you know that it is inappropriate?”

”Calm down, both of you!”
I pulled them back into their seats. Jeez. Why am I surrounded by such violent friends?
”Charlotte, you need to take the time, place, and occasion into consideration, you know? Also, you shouldn't just go ahead and feed anyone. It will make them misunderstand your intentions. Oh, and Hanako. Thank you very much for the intervention, it helped me out a lot.”, I reprimanded Charlotte and thanked Hanako with sincerity.
”Sowwy, Onii-chan.”, Charlotte said that as she hung her head down.

”Hmph! I-I wasn't doing it for you or anything! J-Just don't forget the promise you made!”, said Hanako as she began walking back to her seat.
Sigh... Why can't this girl be a little more honest with herself? Ma~ It doesn't really matter. Her stubbornness is also a part of her charm, I guess.

After the classes are over, I told Charlotte to go pick Mio up and then went over to Hanako's desk to take her out of the classroom. As we walked out of the classroom together, I could hear some remarks from the people in our class,
”Tsk. Just wait, Yuuji. One day I will definitely kill you...”
”How dare he hogs so many cute girls to himself?”
”Oi! Let's beat him up tomorrow.”
The people in our class are so violent... As I walked out of the classroom, I pretended not to hear them...
It looks like I have to be more careful when I traverse to and from school from now on...

As we left the school main gates, Hanako suddenly strike up a conversation with me,
”Nee, Yuuji.”
”Hmm?”
”...”
She whispered something in a low voice that I can't hear.
”What did you say, Hanako? I couldn't really hear you.”
”C-”
”C?”
”Can we hold hands when we're together?”
”Hmm?”
”D-Don't misunderstand anything! I-I just... Mou~~~”, she turned her head away shyly as she said those words.
Just as the atmosphere was turning awkward, I decided to intertwine my finger around hers.”
”Uwah!”, she let out a strange voice when our fingers touched.
