11 The breeze of the sea and the warmth of the body (1/2)

”I'm off!”

”Wait for me, Nii-sama! Goodbye, Mashiro-chan! Meow~~~”

After the chaotic events, our daily lives returned back to normal. The only thing that was different is the fact that Mashiro-chan is now living with us. It was indeed a good decision to adopt her. I got to see more of Mio's cute side when she is with Mashiro. I just have to say it once again, my sister is just too cute...

When we walked out of the house, we saw Hanako hiding just behind a corner. Sometimes it really makes me wonder, is Hanako waiting for me outside of my house so that she can walk to school together with me? But I'm quite sure that's not the case. However, I have no intention of pursuing this further, thus I decided to just dismiss the thought. Just as I was about to walk towards her, my sister pulled me the other way.

”Nii-sama, I want to go this way today.”

”B-but... we shouldn't just leave Hanako to wai-”

”C-can't I?”, she said that with upturned eyes. Tears started to form at the edges of her eyes. It looks like she is in grave sorrow. Since I don't want my sister to shed tears because of me I replied,

”O-Of course, you can!”

”Yay! Nii-sama is the best!”, she looked at me like a puppy. S- so cute!!!

The winds are blowing steadily, and it's not too hot today. The sky is clear, and the sun is shining brightly. Just the perfect day for a walk. So I asked my sister,

”Hey, Mio. Want to go somewhere before we go to school today?”

”The beach!!!”

”Let's go then. If we hurry, we might be able to relax there for a while before we go to class.”

My sister then started pulling on my hand as she walked ahead.

”Nee~ Nee~ Walk faster Nii-sama! We're almost there now!”

”S- Slow down, Mio! I can't catch up with you!”

”Don't wanna~ ♪”

My sister's sweet voice resounded in the air. Her singing-like voice attracted the attention of many passers-by. They all had a smiling face when they looked at us. I also can't help but smile as well. Who wouldn't smile in front of a singing beauty?

When we reached the seaside park, we immediately walked towards the direction of the sea. Once we arrived, we both looked over the railings and gazed at the sea. In the distance, we can see many ships parking at the port.

”Nee~ Nii-sama, which one is our family's boat?”
