”Shen Xun has been inside with the boy for some time now. She isn't aware of our presence and hasn't made any move to escape. It seems as if she intends to spend the night.” The leader of the men in black gives his report.

”Should we go in now?” The men have waited for almost an hour now for him to arrive.

Now that he's here they should start the operation.

Han Yuan does not give a reply immediately but instead turns to look at Su Lian.

Feeling his eyes on her Su Lian looks up at him. She takes a deep breath to calm her nerves before nodding her head.

Seeing their boss wait for the woman's confirmation before he acts, other than feel surprised, the men in black come to the conclusion that she is not to trifled with. Being professionally trained, they do not express any emotion towards this, but make mental notes to avoid accidentally offending her.

”Let's head in.” The leader of the group says and moves forward. The rest of them follow behind.

Su Lian wants to rush forward as well, but Han Yuan pulls her back.

”Not so fast.” He walks with her at a very safe distance behind the men in black. ”There's no point in barging in all at once.”

Su Lian just steadies her pace and does not argue with him even though she really wants to.

Shen Xun who was about to fall asleep suddenly opens her eyes and remains alert. She hears movement and tenses up slightly.

She stretches her hand and pulls Su Yichen to her chest.

At the exact same time, she feels something cold press on to her neck.

She smirks coldly. ”Thirteen, long time no see.”

The man called thirteen, the leader of the men in black snorts in disdain while looking at Shen Xun. ”Torturing defenseless woman, kidnapping a toddler. Shen Xun, to think you would fall this low.”
