He immediately casts a blaming gaze at Su Lian who turns her head away in guilt.

”Grandma, baby, I brought someone home with me?”

In order to avoid Su Qiong's questioning, which she knows is coming next, Su Lian calls on her grandmother and son to temporarily serve as a shield.

”Is this your little brother?” Stephanie stands up and stares at the Su Qiong before walking over to get a better look at him. Su Yichen silently follows behind her.

”What a handsome young man. The genes in my family are really good.” She pats his shoulders affectionately. ”It's a great fortune for me to be able to see my daughter's beautiful children.”

”I was just about to make some lasagna. Would you like some?”

Su Qiong smiles apologetically. ”No thank you. I ate a lot at the party, I'm very full.”

Su Lian squats down to level herself with her son. ”Baby, this is your uncle. He's my little brother. Remember the one I was telling you about?”

Su Yichen nods his head and looks up at Su Qiong. ”Nice to meet you uncle.”

He tries to make himself seem like an adult which Su Qiong finds very adorable and amusing.

”It's nice to meet you too.”

Looking at all the merriment, Stephanie could not help but smile. ”I really made a mistake letting my daughters leave without me. It is something that I really regretted. Now that I've met the two of you and little Michael, I am filled with gratitude. All that's left is for me to visit my eldest daughter and her kids. Then, I can die peacefully.”

Su Lian rolls her eyes in exhaustion. ”I told you already, she lives in a different province. We'll have to travel far so it would be better to go in the summer. And you're not gonna die. You still have so much life left in you”
