38 Pretend or Forget? (2/2)

In the end he, the two senior staff members and the two men who accompanied Han Yuan exit, leaving Han Yuan and Su Lian alone in the conference room.

”What do you need Mr. Han?”

Her voice is so distant as if she doesn't even know him.

”Su Lian.” He stares deep into her eyes hoping to get some sort of response but becomes extremely disappointed when he sees nothing. ”You came back, I'm glad you did.”

”If there is nothing you wish to discuss, then I'll be leaving first.”

”It was nice meeting you, Mr. Han. I look forward to our cooperation,” she turns around and walks to the door.

”Meeting me? Are you going to pretend that you don't know me?”

Before she can say anything further, she feels his figure pressed firmly behind her and his arms wrapped tightly around her waist.

”We dated for two whole years. Doesn't that ring a bell to you? Did you really forget the man who you shared a bed with? Su Lian, I'm sorry, really sorry. But more importantly, I miss you, I miss us. I know I was wrong.”

Hearing his words, Su Lian pulls herself out of his embrace, turns around and swings her hand across his face. Delivering a slap filled with frustration and resentment.

”I don't know you. I never dated the heir to the Han Group. Just what do you take me for? Mr. Han, if you put your hands on me again, I'll press sexual harassment charges against you.”

Taken aback by her slap and response, Han Yuan is completely stupefied. Before he has time to collect himself and respond to what happened, she was already out the door.
