31 Bodyguard or Sister-in-Law? (1/2)

Leaving his office, Shen Xun is stopped at the door and faced with a reproachful glare.

”Young miss.” Shen Xun greets Han Lili respectfully and pretends not to see the displeased look on her face.

Han Lili ignores her greeting and furrows her brows.

”Why are you here?”

”I came to give Mr. Han a document.”

”You should come here less often. If you need to deliver something to him, give it to his assistant. If every employee was like you and walked in here whenever they had something to report, wouldn't this place be a circus?”

”But mother says he should be checked on regularly to make sure thathe is taking proper care of his health.”

”He doesn't need you to do that for him. He has me, his sister, and I am more capable than a bodyguard.”

Hearing her words, Shen Xun secretly clenches her fist.

Indeed she was nothing to him, the Han parents may be nice to her but that doesn't make her a part of his family. She wasn't even sure if he saw her as a woman or an asset. But that didn't matter, being by his side was enough. He would be hers and hers alone. If she couldn't have him, then no one could. Anyone who came between them would need to leave, even if that person was his sister.

Shen Xun nodded her head and 'thanked' Han Lili for relieving her of her duty before walking off.

Staring at her receding figure, the frown on Han Lili's face deepens.

This girl gives her the creeps.

To make things worse, she was in love with her brother. Even though she covers it with her stoic expressions and monotoned speech, she could still tell. She wasn't just in love, she was obsessed. Following her brother around like a stalker all in the name of looking after his safety.
