6 Chapter 6- Suppressed Emotions (2/2)

I couldn't believe the words that had come out her mouth. ”Olivia, first you take my ex, and you don't have the decency to let me have Lucas, let me have a win for once in my life.”

I turned to Khloe ”Do you even hear yourself? Is that what's really important, do you see the state I'm in? Your ex is a monster!” I grimaced as my ribs were aching.

Khloe came up to me and slapped me. I held my cheek which was burning in shock. I was in no state to fight. ”Listen here OLIVIA, not everything is about you, you just a filthy skank! So get off your high horse! You belong to Modric now, so you can't have exclusive clients.”

I was trembling,I couldn't believe my friend held such animosity towards. ”I'm going to buy groceries, and say goodbye to Lucas whilst you at it.”

After Khloe had left, I had sat pondering and I made up my mind as I got up and I started packing my bags. I would run away, I couldn't let another man own me.

I heard the door slowly creek open and I sharply turned my head, it was Lucas. He saw what I was doing and he just got in, and started helping me. I carried on because I didn't have much time.

After I had packed a small bag of my clothes and valuables, I left.

”Get in” as Lucas had opened the door for me. I got in, and he sped off. I didn't know where we were going but I just had to leave. After a thirty minutes drive, we pulled up at an expensive place.

The house was huge and there was security at the house. We got out the car, and he helped me in. I got in and he showed me the guest room.

”Can I freshen up?”

Lucas eyes warmed up ”Of course you can Olivia” I went and showered for a whole hour, when i was done, I found a huge t shirt and sweatpants, which were Lucas's. I put them on and I laid on the bed and passed out.

Lucas Pov:

I got in the guestroom to check up on Olivia, I found her sound asleep. I looked her over and my heart clenched.

She had a black eye that was blue and black. Her hands were covered in bruises and her lip had a cut. She was limping, who knows what happened to her, what she had to endure. If only he had been there to stop it.

He had overheard her conversation with her friend Khloe, and he was shocked at what he had learned. It only confirmed his suspicions that someone had abused her really badly. To make it worse, it was her friend's ex.

He wouldn't press her too much on the matter but he definitely needed to know what happened to her last night.

She looked so peaceful in her sleep,his heart clenched. Lord, why did she have to go through this by herself at a tender age.

She started moving in her sleep, and I could she was having a nightmare. She would stir, but she wouldn't wake up. She mumbled a lot of things that didn't make sense. she was sweating a lot so I wiped the sweat off her head.

The stirring got really bad, so I woke her up. ”Lucas you are here”

”Yes, I am” I reassured her.
